Translation - "whatever happens, Parramatta did the right thing."

There's 7 words quoted that you could just copy and paste for eternity... Will save your fingers and keyboard Poupy!! Love yer work all the same....
No, the translation is we usually don't know if Parramatta did the right thing or not. We can only look at large heuristics, like wins in a season (or better yet, points differential), to tell if they're making good decisions. Any given move by the club doesn't give us enough information to make a judgement. The only context (for us slobs in the stands or watching on telly) comes with large amounts of aggregated data. And even then, we must compare it to the club's long-term performance, not the performance of other clubs, to account for structural advantages/disadvantages.

I still like my summary better....

As much as I’m liking what Emu is bringing in attack, he is so slow in defence and absolutely struggles to fill holes around the ruck. I didn’t realise how much until watching him live.

Still, he’s developing nicely but I wouldn’t be rushing out and extending him on decent coin.

To be honest, I actually though Maka and Ogden outplayed him last night.

Yes but so is jnr. Against bigger packs emu does more damage in attack whereas the other two struggles more.

Just need a mixture of player types and use when fit.

If you like it to ancient Rome, they have different types of offence and defense. It's just a matter if the coach knows how to use which one at the appropriate times

Granted...

However, take Junior Barlow as a like for like... When he first came in to grade, he was a big body but none of the workrate or tackle effectiveness that he has today. And that's why Pou told us all it was no big deal when Junior farked off to Canberra - ergo, he was a lazy defender, Yad Yada Yada

Here is our chance to make this guy our own. He's 23 years old. Maka is 30, Ogden is 26... Wiremu, In the next 3 years, he'll cost you tries, he'll be lazy at times, but it's up to our coaching staff to harness his talent.

Edit - acknowledge though that Maka and Ogden may have outplayed him yesterday...
