I don’t have an opinion but I was with him and a group of people in corporate box at game and I couldn’t believe how tiny in stature he was. Must have been one tough bugger to play so many NRL games.

I had a chat to JT during a lower grades game at Parra a couple years back. He seemed like a nice fella, off the beers of course.

Didn't JT abuse Michael Hagan one day at Parramatta Stadium in the tunnel.

I think hagan was coaching us wasn't he.

JT seemed like a super coach when he started. I remember when our 2006 side was down and out and he took us to the finals after winning 9 in a row. We could have easily beaten Melbourne that year as well if not for some suspect refereeing where Morrison was denied what looked like a try to level the game. He followed it up next season by taking Souths to their first finals series since they were reinstated.
I don’t think he ever recovered from the incident where he as punched in the face by Faalogo.
