You’d have to assume Tubbo & Haas are shoe-ins whether warranted or not. Probably leaves 2 spots, or potentially just 1 spot depending on how they go with Yeo/Murray, that’ll be given to either Junior, RCG or Saifitis.
I’d expect the boneheaded decisions of Fittler not be repeated by Madge or why change the coach?

Jurbo shouldn’t be close to a definite pick, and the Saifiti’s should even get a ticket to watch the game for free

Based on last season and game one hes our best edge forward no doubt. I did hear BA say hes giving Carty time in the middle. Shocked the f*ck outta me.
BA might be planning to make sure we have adequate cover in the event QLD pick Hopgood or heaven forbid he (Hopgood) cops an injury. We have better depth in edge forwards and 'props' than we do in 'locks'.

I think if your players are getting picked as series picks, the benefits of a few weeks at that level outweighs them missing a couple of games. Especially if you know they are going to be picked and you can plan for that leading up to it.
It’s the one-off sacrificials in dead rubbers because selectors don’t want to admit they’ve got no f**ken clue. Especially dead rubbers because, I don’t care what players say about “no dead rubbers”, both teams are absolutely going to be playing a lot looser than if results are on line.

Just look at the 2001 Knights, 2009 storm and 2022 panthers. Plenty of Origin representation

I doubt BA think that far ahead. I'd guess what's for breakfast might be forward planning in his books. I mean he felt JA was a better utility then Bryce. Embarrassing really

Team Tips: Mitchell Moses has been given the green light to take the field, having been cleared of a groin injury suffered in Round 1. Elsewhere, the Eels got through their clash with the Bulldogs unscathed and are a chance of welcoming Wiremu Greig back into the team, having been battling with a hamstring injury. He will replace Kelma Tuilagi if he is fit to play.

I can almost guarantee kelma won’t be replaced. If woody gets in the team it will be at the expense of hands

Once we get Rodwell off the books next one will be Momoisea surely.

Surprised the club haven't offered a package deal to Wakefield.

Buy Rodwell and they can get Momoisea for bag of chips
I suspect the way these go is:
Rodwell signs with Wakefield for next year.
Wakefield tell Rodwell they’d love to have him this year.
Rodwell asks for release of contract.
Club responds “no no we can’t possibly afford to lose you, your integral part of team, etc”.
Rodwell offers to cut contract for $0.
Club “reluctantly” agrees.

This obviously only works if player willing to cut contract for less pay.

Not sure on that one. Madge picked basically the same squad that Fittler picked for the little camp they had in December, including TTurbo who has played like 20 games in 3 years (hyperbole)
