I see that Nine is going to show the NRL schoolboys cup final live on Wednesday at 12 noon.
That is good.
I reckon if they played this game live on NRL grand final day - in what would be the reserve grade slot - it would be huge for growing the game.

Completely agree. Sivo has played with more energy, intent and dedication after coming back into the team when Tbaz was in charge..not sure if it also coincided with "you're free to go" commentary or if he finally got a rocket that he deserved.
A switched on, committed Sivo is in my team every day of the week
I think most would mate. We all hoped and deserved the Sivo of this last week but no one wants what we all had for so long hence the concern.

Maybe it IS an attitude thing that Ryles could fix, but his general lazy, brain dead performances week after week until recently is something no fan wants to ever face again.

That seems to be the concenus in the rugby league world.
One merkin dreams up a number and everyone else reports it as fact. That's how we get 'consensus' in the media.
How do you know the Panthers offered more to blaize than us????
I don't know, I just think it's most likely. Panthers are losing a big chunk of their salary cap at five-eighth. Meanwhile we are bringing in Lomax and losing Harper.

I never hope for failure. If we kill it under Ryles he'll be a big part of it. If we don't, it'll be the squad, not the coach.
Disagree. A lesser squad played better under TBaz than the better credentialed squad under BA. A new voice, ideas, structures was clearly what we needed. Unfortunately BA was too stubborn to change in a number of areas.
Let's not forget Ryles and every other candidate would've gone through a gruelling process to get the role.
How will you change this team/club
What will you do. Why will it work etc etc
Anyone ever been involved in recruitment knows what you're looking for in candidates.
You also know very quickly who isn't a fit and who is ticking the boxes or answering the right way.
I don't see as Ryles not surrounding himself with the right people and pulling out all stops to make him and this club a success.
Don't forget if he fails here then it makes it all that much harder to get anotherr1st grade job.
Having spent many hours with Bellamy, Robinson, Eddie Jones who have all tasted success at the highest level I can't see anything but a meticulous coach with absolute emphasis on attention to detail.
I also admire the fact he could've stayed in Melb and be part of another premiership winning campaign but has arrived early and announced his team around him.
I honestly see nothing but success ahead with Rylesy
