FRENCH CONNECTION

WATCH this space. The Melbourne Storm have identified Parramatta Eels rising star Bevan French as a potential recruit as they begin to plan for life after Billy Slater.

EELS FANS STICK TIGHT

THEY sure are a loyal bunch out Parramatta way. Despite being at the centre of an NRL investigation, the Eels are set to announce they are on track to hit 25,000 members for the first time this year. A record 6300 members also attended their most recent home game against North Queensland.

The truth behind Semi Radradra and a suggested threat to walk out is pretty simple: he is on $400,000 and is worth about $600,000.

And, to be frank, if he can keep up his vein of form, he is worth the latter amount. He brings people to the game and viewers to the TV. There will be an approach for a pay rise and a possible contract extension, once the Eels sort through the mess they are in.

Radradra's agent George Christodoulou knows it will be silly to have those discussions now.

"He is not looking to get out," Christodoulou said. "In an ideal world he will be an Eel for life. But we need to have those discussions."

There have been rumblings since last year that he was edgy. The truth is he has been through a relationship breakdown that has not been simple. He has been supported by the club and the club has also supported his his ex-partner.

Radradra was upset when it was suggested he wanted to leave Parramatta. He has a deal that has two years to run.

You talked French up 3 odd years ago Staggs. You chalked him in as Haynes replacement way back then. He must have been something really special. Looks like hes a chance of fulfilling his potential based on his 9s performance. Cant wait too see him back on the field this year. Rack off Storm. Hes ours.

Mmmmm!!!

If semi had relationship issues they've definitely been sorted ... Weird that they bring that up in a news article

Media is soulless mate. Even if he had relationship issues, what's that got to do with anything. Leave the man alone!!!
