I thought the annual grant only covered salary cap? That doesn’t cover the admin costs of the club and management?

I agree, $1m isn’t much these days, but it still has to be covered, as it would have been budgeted for? Maybe they will get someone who will exceed it?

Don’t get me wrong, the decision has been made and I support it, hopefully it’s the correct one, but would you give somebody, a $1-5m and have no say in what they do with it?

Unfortunately, I’m in the off pension week? So I’m tapped. Hahaha
Your right. I've got a breakdown of where the monies go somewhere in my digital library. If I find it I'll post it.
The Holman Barnes Group who ordered to review to go ahead holds the keys to our future.

Lol settle down.
This bloke has to learn the game.
Doubt he’ll play top grade at all next year, barring a shocking injury run.
Ah if Sollys on the wing he will be fine out of the gates.. Fend, find a gap and run through it, get to the try line, pass if you have to.

I've played in both codes at a fairly high level and I can tell you that as a centre/wing there is not much difference in the codes. Fullback there's a big difference but as he learns, he could also be a backup to when Bula is unavailable.
What little differences there are, is in intensity.
This guy has raw talent which is evident in his videos and that will go a long way in the NRL.
Tall fast players are great to have these days.
I'll go on record by saying he'll go ok.....I said that about Gildart too so take it as you will ha ha.

Didn’t work, but worth a listen, if you can get it?

Lee talking on SEN radio, he is suggesting that Richo is only here for 6 months?

NBWT twitter: some quotes from Shane Richardson.

“I like the roster, I like the coach. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be here”

Shane Richardson rattling off WT junior catchment numbers compared to Penrith and Parramatta. On top of it

He’d done his homework?

“He is a great person off the field despite what many media people try to make out. You couldn’t meet a better person than him and you couldn’t ask for a better person at your club.”
New Tigers boss doubles down on club’s pursuit of Jarome Luai

100% the ridicule was warranted. People and the media had a bit of a giggle at a couple of the groups lobbying for a Pascoe/Lee removal. But, people power certainly had a part in what happened yesterday.

Our fans are certainly not a demanding bunch and that has probably been to our detriment. Even next year, if we improve and finish at about 12th, I'd think the majority of the fanbase would be fairly content with that. In saying that, our fans have probably never been as vocal with their discontent as they have been over the last couple of years. I know from personal experience, I've not had less interest in watching them than in last two seasons. I have watched other games with more keenness this year than Tiger games for sure.
Hear hear ! For 40 yrs I’d hardly missed a game at the 8th wonder.I was like a kid in a candy store walking through the Mary st entrance on game day. However 5 yrs ago I stopped renewing my membership as did 6 family members & I haven’t been to watch them in 4 yrs.Of all the knuckleheads who have been in influential positions with the club from coaches to directors during the horrendous last decade the one I despised the most & who would make me cringe whenever he would spout inane excrement was the delusional fedora wearing megalomaniac. To say I’m jubilant that the imbecile has gone is an understatement.Consequently & with Richo at the helm there is suddenly enormous hope for what should b a powerhouse club at concord. We have so much going for us a great nursery a marketers dream re our emblem/brand & a prosperous leagues club.Weve suffered enough. There can be no more excuses for the abject mediocrity we’ve been subjected to for way too long. The long overdue sacking of the abysmal board & CEO is a major stepping stone to prosperity.

Strange because in his Foxtel interview I got the vibe he wants to stick around for the long haul. Why would he say several times that he was involved getting the Panthers and Souths to the top and he wants the same for the tigers if he knows he's only going to be there 6mths.
Imo it would be Richo protecting his good name by saying 6ths. This way he's got an out if things don't work out. If it does work out he would be asking for a pay rise.

Reports of helicopters on the roof and the executive staff wrestling with each other to clamour up the ladders.

The legend has it that Richo had a spell as recruiter ( as well as CEO) at south’s and in that role signed a young unknown called Damien Cook.

He expects his office people to jump. No bludging.

Everyone will have to become a member if you want a place at the club communications table.

He is very expensive.

He will appreciate that the clubs finances are in order. One less worry.

NBWT twitter:
Hagipantelis speaking on SEN re Nofoaluma: “He has found himself in a very challenging and difficult place, there’s no doubt. I think the boy’s lost at the moment. I think he has all the talent and ability in the world, but I think he just needs to focus”
“At the moment he is not toeing the line, at the moment he has proven somewhat difficult, to manage expectations. There has been some miscommunication. But Benji is instilling a benchmarking and a standard that he wants to enforce, and David’s just got to come on board”

They were mates?

Who knows what’s really going on.
We’ll find out in 6 months I guess?
Though the news say both Richo and O’F were interim appointments?

It has been the most interesting off season in years?

I think the interim appointments were necessary to oust the old board, CEO and Chairman. There could have been some teething problems/backlash if they came straight out and made it long term appointments.

NBWT twitter:
It’s believed the Bulldogs will offer Jarome Luai a five year deal worth over $5 million (Telegraph)

So much for their “we won’t offer him a contract” shit hahaha

Though if you believe the news, our offer is greater, but only for 4 years?

Without knowing much at all about corporate governance ( if that's even the correct term here) but it stands to reason to me that they would and could only be interim appointments untill a new full board was selected who would then be empowered to decide on the permanent CEO and Chairman...at the moment it's only an interim 4 person board ....yes / no ?
