You would think the cap would be an issue for this.

Unless, maybe they can release Nofo ($525k), plus I doubt they will resign Doeuihi ($600k).

If you had to choose one only, who would it be. Olum ($475k?) or JAC ($550k).
Note: Salary figures from Zerotackle, Olum's salary not given, but I thought I remember it was this amount?
Late edit. I'd go Carr!
Your right about AD. We could use his money and his top 30 spot. His days are numbered I think.
As far as having either him or Olam, (I'm saying that centre maybe be his only option because of our heavily invested backlog of halves) Olam can play more direct in attack if required whereas AD tries to jink and step and get on the outside of the D which doesn't work because he's too slow.
Don't say that on outside WT forums otherwise you'll get crucified.

To'a is another centre who can play direct. This year he worked his way through tackles several times. He's deceptively strong and difficult to tackle. He and Olam would make a tasty combo.
The rumour about Carr might suggest that we might be unsure about Solomon Alaimalo and Lobb.
If they are are worried about development why a 1 year contract for Solomon? Could be just to cover depth? Bringing over a rugby convert is not ideal for an NRL depth player.
Solomona Faataape signing is an interesting one. Have we doubts on Feledy's future?
Is Solomona just a centre?
I saw in these highlights that he wore the number 5 a couple of times. Solid lad.

The question was Olam or JAC? Hahaha

@Tigerm
What do think about Solomona Faataape's highlights vid?
It's not the NRL, but Qld footy is a pretty high std.
Look imo, while he’s learning to be a NRL player, if he scores more points than he lets in, it’s positive hahaha

He looks a goer though.

Tigers move on from recruitment guru Scott Fulton after eight months
By Dan Walsh
January 9, 2024 — 10.16am

Wests Tigers recruitment manager Scott Fulton and the club have parted ways less than a year into his tenure.

Fulton was informed by interim Tigers CEO Shane Richardson on Tuesday that he was no longer needed as part of the joint venture’s restructuring since a front office overhaul that dismissed chairman Lee Hagipantelis and Richardson’s predecessor Justin Pascoe.
Fulton was signed by Hagipantelis and Pascoe last May without the knowledge of then-coach Tim Sheens and his eventual successor Benji Marshall.

Marshall and Fulton had butted heads over several recruitment moves throughout 2023. The son of Immortal and Manly icon Bob, Scott Fulton had led Manly’s shift into western Sydney as a key recruitment catchment, signing players like Haumole Olakau’atu and the Fainu brothers, who then linked with him once at the Tigers.

This sacking would have surprised absolutely nobody. I put no blame on Fulton....this is all the previous leadership's doing.
I'd say Fulton would have started packing his bags once Lee/Pascoe left. He'd have been looking in the classifieds for job openings over this Christmas period.
