Well...some pretty emphatic statements on the record here...

FACT: The Holman Barnes Group is absolutely and unequivocally committed to the Joint Venture

My rant on the world is that there isn't enough fact checking and there is way too much emotion.

Worth a listen, i personally believe Rick Wayde' s version of events in this interview.

I’m ploughing through it.

Let’s just say he doesn’t miss his targets and there’s a lot of water in the blood.

So far nothing changes my view that the whole rotten edifice should be torn down and we should start afresh.

It’s ‘ken laughable that in the broad ( with some reservations) that Richo appears to have done more in 2 minutes than our entire management has achieved in 20 years.

I liked it when he picked up his rpg and fired a solid head shot at Lee.

If Lee had continued his sponsorship, we’d know his heart was in the right place, but he was hurt beyond measure I guess.

Good interview so far, they let their subject talk freely. Tick.

Richo didn’t have Lee as chairman though, that helped.

Immeasurably.

All the hacks that make up the factions, they are quick and eager to attest their undying love for their former club and the wests tigers, but as we know, you can have the good intent but fail at that ambition.

Lee probably thought he was doing the right thing, but the record shows he was abominable and his “leadership” was catastrophic.

The run of bad decisions amounting to our spoons and spoon bowl thrashing takes a lot of effort.

From bad signings, cap mismanagement, incompetent staff, player discord, treatment of stakeholders. We might have had some bad luck, but no more or less than other clubs.

It’s takes a lot of hard work and effort to do so poorly.

And this rubbish about paying other clubs for players we should never have signed.

Im not excusing the likes of Stefano who let themselves down either. No love from me for players who dog the club.

And just because HB states that something is a “FACT” doesn’t make it so.

And we could state dozens of FACTs that led us into this predicament.

Secretly supporting either Wests or Balmain, doesn’t make anyone a better board member or lead them to better decisions.

It’s not who anyone supports, it’s about being smart enough to bring the right people to the club and tapping into their knowledge and talent.

As soon as people put their own vested interests and cart their baggage into the mix, we end up with Tim, Lee and probably the wrong coach.

And it took years and a petition by the dedicated rank and file for HB to realise the club was a knifes edge from folding.

The members and fans knew we were struggling, wtf HB they should have flexed their muscle and influence years ago.

The only good thing Lee probably did was to f**k up signing Lats, although the spoons might suggest otherwise.

With all the latent and untapped support, we should be a powerhouse club, consistently competitive…

I’m tired of us f**king ourselves up.

That’s why I’ve got more time for our struggling players than i have for our senior head office. Except Richo.

And Richo sees the South West as our future and he’s not totally wrong, but we take the Tigers with us or no dice.

My point is that there’s many culprits and I don’t think anyone of them presents to us without a sin of some sort.

Done is done of course, can’t change the past.

Otherwise, it’s the usual poor media portrayal but we certainly give them plenty of fodder.

We are still supposed to get the spoon, I might try to find odds saying we will miss it this year.

This side at optimum, it’s not a true finals side without some additional grunt, but I’d be surprised if we didn’t have a go.

May and Hunt are quality signings.

And if they have a dig, much better than a bored Stef or underwhelming paps. We are just going to have to see.

I’m crossing my fingers Benji will find a way . No more holidays or public service hours might help.

A lot of folk can’t have all the hours they want with family, it doesn’t have to lessen the experience.

Both my parents slogged their guts out working full time, I don’t think I missed anything. I was blessed.

And imho @Nutz, that double and triple flogging you got for that car thing, you were discussing on SGI, that was rubbish mate. As a citizen, I apologise on behalf of the government. Thank you for your service.

I want the Seibs training regime, game conditions to 100 minutes, so that 80 minutes is a fitness walk in the park.

No one looking polar-trek exhausted after 30 minutes like we saw for most of last year.

And shock horror- Api and JL may pass the ball to you wherever the f**k you are. Don’t stop in your tracks and look astonished ffs. Keep playing!

Remember, it's only fun when you win.
So, lets have fun.
lol.

I suppose it’s a winning off-season, but slinking through the green forest, this Tiger still sniffs the scent of the same rotten carcasses from seasons past.

Bits of tail, a half chewed paw, mangey whiskers stuck fast to dying spikey thistle!

Fire up!

Do you not think it is different this next season?

We have some quality forwards with some depth.
Sparkling halves, that haven't peaked. I think Luai will take Gal to another level.
Backs with grunt and pace and looking forward to Makasini coming.

Importantly, we've resigned some good players who actually want to be here.
I'm quietly confident of a top 8 finish, maybe even top 6.
It's going to happen sooner or later, it may as well be '25, our 20th anniversary.
I've put my $50 down already hahaha

The halves scenario alone brings a lump to the back of the throat.

I think most of us have always regarded JL as blue chip for his own sake and never saw him as a mere extension of Nate.

Understandably we’ve seen the Panthers build their game around Nate, a precision footballer extraordinaire. Actually thought he was at his peak threat level a few years ago before he had that injury. The younger Nate was reaching up for his best clinical game, but he was mad on possession and invariably took enormous physical risks, until he got whacked.

Then I think the Panthers changed their game to preserve and protect him more, which Ivan nailed.

With a lot of help from JL.

Gal is still a kid and we forget he’s got a lot of physical building to do as well as the decision.

JL will take a lot of pressure off him, but he will also demand things as well.

If they can stay fit and eager, they could be the envy of the game.

Gal seemed shy and a bit reserved, I told him he had a great season last year and he thanked me for that.

Hes a very different beast to JL, they will both want to outplay the other.
