We're now waiting on the NRL's decision about a medical retirement for Olam. Hopefully they pull the finger out and we get a decision soon.
What's your take on this Fordy?
. Do you want him. I wonder what that hold up is. Either you good to go or not.
Is this cash under the table stuff? You can do that legally as long as the ace doesn't fall out of your sleeve.

I reckon it's a cap management issue. We're on the hook for Olam for both this year and next unless the NRL grant the medical retirement. It's strange, but apparently we had to pay some freight to offload Klemmer, which means whatever we paid comes off our cap this year. We've still got Naden and Staines on contract this year too.

As for young Yam, there's no doubt he's got talent. He plays in the 3/4 line, which is a problem area for us. I could see him giving Doueihi and Faatape some pretty stiff competition. He's had his issues with his ACL and off field dramas, but if he did come on board, I'd hope he'd follow Terrell's example rather than his older brother. I reckon he'd be a better signing than Olam anyway.

I’m wondering what the success for these medical retirements requests are.I can’t remember any getting declined. Tho there may have been a few??
When Staines runs he reminds me of a turnip in a blender. Will get smashed and eaten up..I predict again he wont play this year

I know Staines is fast but he runs like he’s literally blind and he just can’t help but run into opposition players

I'd rather keep our current line up. Thank God AD has stepped up a bit as he and To'a are playing well. But you have to have depth
When Luke Laulilii and Makasini start getting some game time later part of year when depth is tested then we could give the comp a shake.
I'm starting to have faith Tiger05's assessment :)

It makes sense that the delay re taylans signing is due to medical retirement/salary cap relief for Olam yet to b greenlighted. The delay is not an issue coz luckily we r fine with the 3/4’s.I just hope we unearth a quality back rower this yr coz it’s a position where we r thin

I struggled briefly about signing Taylon May on moral grounds before thinking we should sign him.
Now I have had time to settle down I'm not so sure.
When the Panthers ditched him they said it was for a number of factors not just this court case. ( Alarm bells should be ringing)
Terrel was asked who was the most interesting person he knows and said his brother "because one day he loves you and can't do enough for you the next day he hates you and wants to kill you. Just about everyone who knows him describes him as interesting."
I feel for anyone with mental health issues but it feels like a high risk to have someone like that around a team with young players coming through.
I will probably breath a sigh of relief if another club signs him.

Now that Olam's officially gone we just might pick up someone handy.
Trust in Richo, go hard son.

All the talk about Penrith's May has gone all quiet. I wonder what's happening on that front.

Among the first of Richo's edicts....if a prospect or his management leak anything about negotiations then the deal is off...signings are to be announced by the club only after the deal is signed off on.
Similar goes for club staff (at last!)

The .members first email works a treat, mine came out well before the official site so I think that's a good thing. It was probably official yesterday but they chose this morning to get more views.

Such a massive relief to have Richo at the helm as opposed to the shambolic period when the egomaniac Hag was leaking like a sieve to the media especially to his mate the oxygen thief Rothshit
