Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

I was just looking at zero tackle and checking contracts.

The eels have a handful of players on massive sums and the Moses signing will restrict their choices further during his tenure.

As for his manager, total jerk, no question.

His 7% of 1.25 a year for doing absolutely nothing is a good wicket.

Moylan, definite head issues. Wasted his career in some ways. Sad but common.

Cheers himself up by coming home to his junior area. I think Gus didn’t read him that well when he was young. Expected too much.

Moylan is still nice to the local kids.

Its a massive ploy these player managers have been throwing around these past few seasons, to bump up an existing offer from the eels, parra officials are dumb enough to jump thru these hoops... RCG & Paulo floated to the dolphins, Brown also, then moses to dogs and tigers... this will continue to happen as clubs are eager to put pen to paper to spike up the price so that the eels suffer, the whole gutho saga some months back was hilarious, fmd no one wanted him.. but these other guys played pawwa like a fiddle... i reckon Isiah Papali'i tried his hand, but failed and is now getting coin at WT, when in reality he probably just was hoping to have the eels bump him up....

Im pretty sure we signed Paps on around the same money that Leillua was on. I'll take that!

Moylan is very much a passenger in the Hynes Express. Talented but made of glass. Hynes coming over is the best thing to have happened to him.....playing without nowhere near the pressure now.

100%
that’s why all year papali’i refused to come our and commit to the tigers even at the dally m‘s when they told him to blink if he was joining the tigers

it took Arthur coming out in the lead up to the GF and saying he wasn’t staying

papali’i was hoping Parra would sort something out to keep him

If we move quickly, we can possibly pick up Kyle Flanagan for $450k and make a play for Herbet.

They’d be enough left over to keep Charlie and Laurie and of course, clutch play for the used Samoan international.

With all that cash on offer, there’s going to be a lot of interest from greedy player managers.
I thought Wakeman went OK in the trial, surely he is worth a shot, instead of splashing on lesser talent at this stage?
