IMO, we already have the core of that team here, just need a few newby’s in a couple of spine positions.

In all fairness steve roach has commented many times about copping brown paper bags after games. Not sure if this was early on in his career or later on when the cap was introduced which was about 88 off memory

91 the cap came in so I doubt it had any impact on Roach, unless the brown paper bags were full of take away

Holbrook at the Titans and O’Brien at the Knights have certainly got their teams playing so much better. Payton at the Cowboys certainly not going as good.

It’s only 7 rounds in but maybe it really does take a season for some players to gel under a new coach.

Although Webster at the Warriors has his team performing way beyond expectation.

I just read about the dragons yesterday naming the final 17 an hour before kick-off, where they named Jacob Liddle as the starting 9, then actually ran on with Mybe meaning they lost an interchange at the very start of the game.

Not even the Tigers have stuffed up like that, we blame the chairman, the CEO, the front office, etc etc but gee what a blunder.

Two rising playmakers have landed on the Tigers’ recruitment radar but will they have the talent to turn around a club in seemingly terminal decline?

Manly’s Josh Schuster and St George Illawarra’s Junior Amone have landed on the recruitment radar of Wests Tigers as the club moves to shore up its halves stocks.
Sunday’s match against the Sea Eagles will mark a bitter milestone for maligned halfback
Luke Brooks, it’s exactly one year to the day since he last played in an NRL winning side.
In that time the Tigers have tried Brooks, Adam Doueihi, Jackson Hastings, Jock Madden and Brandon Wakeham in the halves but still the search continues, and now Schuster and Amone have entered the frame.
Both Schuster and Amone are contracted until the end of 2024 and won’t be able to field any formal offers from the Tigers until November 1.
It’s understood the Tigers have been meeting with leading player agents to piece together their halves puzzle, both immediately and into the future.
Doueihi is the only playmaker signed at the Tigers beyond this season with Brooks and Brandon Wakeham without deals for 2024.
