We finally have a strong pack and look like we have turned a corner and now this gets brought up. The reason we have a strong pack is that we have quality players like Joffa that have to play to their potential just to make the side, rather than play young players based on potential.

Add to that he is one of only a handful of player in our squad that has shown any sort of leadership ability.

If we are even entertaining the thought we better bend Parra over with their junior talent if they are desperate to keep their 'window' :D:D:D:D open. Otherwise tell them to piss off.
The same dogs would not let stef go early, even though we let the mutts Moses and matterflog go early.

MOST people predicted it and it’s ended up being bang on the money – new Wests Tigers head of recruitment Scott Fulton and ex-Wests Tigers recruitment manager Warren McDonnell have had their first blow-up.

And it’s happened in the very first meeting between the pair.

Fulton is a can-do operator and had heard McDonnell had been talking out of school about him.

So the Tigers new head of recruitment simply put it to McDonnell.

They both laid their cards out and there were certainly no backward steps.

Rest assured the differences have been resolved and neither is in any doubt about who sits in what role.

Fulton is now entirely responsible for the Wests Tigers top 30 list and has been busy trying to find some circuit breaking signings for the struggling club.

McDonnell will now be working in junior pathways.

It’s says a lot about the Wests Tigers front office that they’ve sacked McDonnell twice and then re-hired him.

Does that mean they’ve got it wrong three times?

I’ll have to take your word for it that Offa’s a good keep. He wouldn’t be the last guy I’d want to tackle

The Brisbane Tigers have launched a $25 million bid set to rival a Cairns-based Pasifika franchise as the race to become the NRL’s 18th team heats up.

The Tigers are one of rugby league’s oldest clubs with a 106-year history and have this week lodged their expression of interest with the NRL.

The famous club, formerly known as Easts, rebranded in 2020 and was behind the Firehawks expansion bid which lost to the Dolphins.

Surely they won't be able to go in as the Brisbane Tigers?

if they hang and land on any part of the legs they are off for 10. Pretty simple. it’s when they start hanging is where the problem starts.. after that it’s nearly too late to fix it ..although one of the tacklers put his hand on the ground so he didn’t land on the legs.. …and it was obvious. The rest just don’t give a shit ..and they have to
It’s like Merging on the freeway over here. No one gets it. It’s simple. indicate, get your speed up,keep driving in the far left lane to the end, only give way to the car directly beside you and then keep going..they will let you in. For hip drops Dont hang!

Whilst I don't want this to happen, we'd be better off moving to Qld, combining a merged entity, using the Tigers brand and having smart people run the club.

On Instagram "talkingweststigers" are saying Parramatta want to sign Joe O asap and are hoping for a decision within 48 hours? Source supposedly Weilder?

I hope this is bullshit?
They are now saying he is going to sign with them immediately? Wondering if there is an issue?

What ever’s happened, if it’s true, it is a slap in the face to eels forwards, that they’ve gone to the current wooden spooners to get a forward?

It’s weird, the cows have lost him for all this time, for seemingly no reason? Just sucks.
Oh yeah, the stand down policy is a hard one, he would’ve been paid but the club was disadvantaged, by the same token it’s one of the country’s premier sporting codes, behave yourself you’re getting paid big bucks to play sport and you know the consequences of being a dickhead, and you know it’s hard to avoid them now with phone cameras and social media saturatingnthe culture

WESTS TIGERS

Players off contract: 9

Alex Seyfarth, Apisalome Saukuru, Charlie Staines, Daine Laurie, Luke Brooks, Tuki Simpkins, Christian Ma'anaima, Josh Feledy, Kitione Kautoga

TBH, I don't know much about a few of these players.

I always thought Seyfarth and Staines (if he is able to play) were worth keeping, but the others....meh! 😒
