Yes.

“I want to stay here as long as I can,” said Bula.

“The club blessed me with this opportunity and I'm not in this position without them.

“I want to hopefully win a championship here one day, that’s my goal.”

$2.7m over 4 years. Cheap money if it works (I think it will) or another shit show, if it doesn't. The kid is our future.

$675k a season for a fullback with plenty of upside is well worth it in my opinion. Will probably be relatively backended as he develops and the cap rises, but he’s a player we can definitely build around.

I think “old boys” give the younger blokes in the squad something to identify with, blokes like Api and Klemmer etc, are pro’s and don’t need it.

Obviously, we don’t know who will get the GM gig, but don’t write Cheka off, he’s a pretty impressive bloke, I remember him with the Waratahs and then the Wallabies, he did some good shit with those teams. He doesn’t cop shit from anyone.

Im not a fan of O’Neil’s, but they do appear to be talking with some good options and all will be forgotten should we see success.

Just hope they decide shortly, so they can get on with it.
Yep gotcha TM, I forgot about his Randwick days.
The ol boys thing can work if it's working as there is also the fear of being out of touch and losing the dressing room so to speak. I think Tim may have lost his voice and Benji did the talking...unsure.
I'm confident that our culture will improve under Benji and Morris.
Back to MC...If Michael Cheika oozes confidence and logic around the squad/club then I'll buy in.
We just extended our chairman so I'm cautious about who we sign. Is it another Pascoe, Brooks, coach and player duds....when will it stop.
We have to get these recruits right.
It was said tonight on 360 that it's a coincidence that our chairman got the nod before the review was completed??
On the upside, atm, I'm cutting some slack cause we just extended Bula so his deal to add to Api, Papa etc is giving us hope.
Are we releasing more to recruit more.... that's what I'd like to know.
I think we still have 1 spot left unless someone is missing like Charlie Staines (is he leaving) so if we release Twal, Simmo etc that means we upgrade or recruit. Have I missed anyone?
Shawn Blore is one player I'd like to keep.
Any thoughts?

It’s been reported that contract extension talks have begun with Staines.
@Vic Mackey mentioned that Twal may have possibly out priced himself and the younger blokes we already have will give similar at a cheaper price?
I think Blore is a keeper, but he is injury prone which is a worry.
I would hope they are still looking, but all the clubs are, so it’s hard to get good ones when you have the spoon.
I’m quietly confident that Tristan Reilly will find a permanent spot in the backs and we are slowing building something encouraging.

Basing signings on astrology signs is an idea so cooked it could land you a job in Wests Tigers recruitment.
And yet I bet amoungst you’s are supporters of Christians, Christian beliefs or at least you’d keep quiet around them right!…hahaha crack me up

Yea but can Cheika let go of a dumb idea coz there’s going to be fireworks with Benji and a big pay out very quickly if he can’t keep his cool and at times back off and admit he’s wrong
Coaching, especially for a short period with Lebanon where u are god is a bit different to being GM with a wider brief and will likely expose his emotional weirdness.

Ideas are only dumb, if you don’t agree with them.

The GM (who ever that is) won’t be reporting to the FG coach. But all appointments should be on the basis, of perform or perish.

Benji will have more to worry about with his own role than who his new boss will be. And the GM should only start to look at him closely if it’s not working.

Cheika will perish before Benji … That’s why they need to throw some $$ at O’Neill..
The GM won’t have the pressure that the FG coach will be under, so if we are not improving we will be looking for a new coach before the end of the season, again.

I think O’Neil would be favourite, but I just think he’s a grub. Though winning changes everything.

I don't want O'Neil either.
Since he has been Eels GM, how have they been going. Star studded roster and recruited an injury ridden hooker and let go of Papa and co... the club really didn't excell. 10th in NRL and 9th in KOE. Previous years ok but what's all the fuss about him for?

This is Lees idea right.. good luck with that.. It’s funny how he makes it clear to the world he’s very keen on one of the contenders at this early stage blah blah …coz he’s heard good things about him omg Lee, Zip it please! Someone will update the board in time, on what and who they are dealing with..I have no doubt

"I think Manly and the Tigers are discussing perhaps a trade, or a swap, with Alex," Gould said.

"We'll know more next week what his intentions are, and we've got to decide whether that's right for us as well.

"Alex has to decide whether that's right for him."

Who would we be after from Manly? Half their forwards are ex-WT's lol
