If Melbourne beat the Roosters and Cowboys beat Souths, then we will finish 5th, and the match next week will be irrelevant for us.

And if that was to occur, do you think we rest the majority of the first squad like we did last year vs penrith? Storm would be guaranteed 4th too so will probably rest a bunch as well

Storm still have the potential to finish higher than 4th, I think they'd rather play Cowboys or Sharks, than Panthers.

You'd think the Sharks would get a choice of grounds though and choose Allianz.

It's an interesting situation for the grounds in the finals. Panthers, Sharks, Parra all finish Top 4, but could potentially end up playing Roosters/Souths at their home ground in Week 3.

Yep, if we beat Panthers and then have to play Souths in a prelim it would likely be moved to ANZ meaning we would finish top 4 and have 2 away games in the semis.

Home finals are only guaranteed in week 1, so even if we lose to Penrith, we are unlikely to get a week 2 semi at Commbank, it will be at Accor. So regardless I don’t think we are “home” again this season

We had a Week 2 semi at BankWest vs Souths 2 years ago.

Yeah I know, I’m just saying it’s not guaranteed like it is in week 1, and wouldn’t surprised me to see us get shafted by the NRL.

Home final situation I believe is this
Week 2 will be at Commbank
Week 3 will be at Homebush.

Remember if it's week 2 it will be an interstate team in either Melbourne or Canberra and Commbank Isn't a suburban ground it's a world-class facility to hold finals.
