Um why are people saying he's 'awesome' or that the fine is excessive.
He peed on himself and on the ground and on national tv....it's competely disgusting, seriously some people make me embarrassed to be an NRL fan.

No you tard his tweet after wards the lack of not caring that many would be embarassed in his place is what make character.

Add to that in a day of all muscled bound players he like Rose are fatt f**ks good to see something different

As for the act

Has anyone complained?

Could u see his d!ck?

Does anyone complain when players spit or get pants down to show ass?

Far worse things happen on the field then that

Lol did you get brought up by pigs?

urinating in your shorts in front of national tv is gross even by footballers standard.

we have found a winner!

I guess it's not as bad as making a dog suck you...

15 k cash for a piss!

He had other options

1) He could of paid the ball boy $100 to hold the sand bucket while he pissed in it.

2) Piss while in a scrum no one can see.

3)Piss in the drink bottle

4)fake injury and piss your pants while laying on the floor.

Paul Gallen is poised to quit the Sharks following his $10,000 fine for urinating in public last week.

A report in the Daily Telegraph claims Gallen is upset with his club's decision to financially penalise him and is looking to end his current contract two years early.

Half of the $10,000 fine was suspended however, Gallen is said to feel slighted enough for approaches to have been made on his behalf to both Manly and Wests Tigers. It's thought that Manly would be best placed to secure Gallen's services following Matt Orford's departure to the English Super League. Wests Tigers boss Steve Humphreys confirmed an approach to Gallen had been made, but did not elaborate.

Sharks chairman Damian Irvine said Gallen's fine was appropriate when it was announced last Tuesday.

"Paul is a senior representative player and understands the need to reflect the high standards of behaviour and character our Club holds as the core of our future.

"Paul will be back in training in the New Year with a positive attitude that reflects that of the rest of the squad and staff."

Gallen stepped down as Sharks captain mid-season after he made racial remarks towards St George Illawarra's Mickey Paea. In 2008 Gallen was accused of trying to rip stitches from a head wound on Gold Coast's Anthony Laffranchi and another Titans' player Josh Graham claimed Gallen has grabbed him by the testicles during a match.

Would the Sharks be better off without Gallen?
Was Gallen's fine appropriate?

Ok so he was busting apparently.
Yet this was taken just after they ran onto the field.
Surely a grown man would think maybe he should take a piss before he runs out on the field.
Not a good look for the game amongst all the other crap going on.

My 7 year old son knows to go to the toilet before he plays soccer..................

I'm not trying to take the Russell Packer, but, I do know a lot of players struggle with nerves before big games. Some have difficulty eating and holding it down in the build up to a big game. Nerves and stress would certainly play some part.

Well is he supposed to leave the field and leave his team a man down while he's in the changing rooms taking a piss? Or is he supposed to sacrifice an interchange just so he can go to the loo?
Or is the ref gonna blow time off until he comes back from the loo?

Pissing in his pants was the best option for the team.

Or could he have gone to the loo prior to kick off like the other 200 starting players do every week?
