Phil can do whatever he likes. And you don't interview Holbrook without giving AOB a heads up if it's just for a support role.
Could you imagine the Bulldogs interviewing a new head coach without Gus being present/involved?
If (and it is still an if at this stage) we make the finals this year, how many teams have made 3 of the last 4 finals series?I don’t think a hot streak in a season where we’re still only an outside chance of the 8 should outweigh what has been an extremely underwhelming 4 years under AOB, especially for the people who’s job it is to put the club in a position to succeed. If they don’t believe he’s the man for the job then they should be looking for a replacement.
If Holbrook is the only one they’re looking at then that’s concerning, but I doubt it’s the case.
Panthers, Storm, Eels, Roosters, Rabbitohs. Knights, Sharks & Raiders are a chance of joining them this year.If (and it is still an if at this stage) we make the finals this year, how many teams have made 3 of the last 4 finals series?
I mean, I'd say I'm on Phil's side with this one. The Moses issue has been highlighted for years, since Mann came to the club at least.Revealed: Knights’ bitter power struggle and how O’Brien is caught in crossfire — Hoops

So, he could be one of 5 coaches to get his team into 3 of the last 4 finals series (Bennett was in charge of Souths during that period).Panthers, Storm, Eels, Roosters, Rabbitohs. Knights, Sharks & Raiders are a chance of joining them this year.
Don't think being the first week warmup game for the actual contenders outweighs the team being mediocre at best and painful to watch majority of the time.
I’m trying to understand how there is a power struggle involving Moses when he isn’t sending players here, and we don’t want his players here.Revealed: Knights’ bitter power struggle and how O’Brien is caught in crossfire — Hoops

Is scraping into the finals the goal? The 5 other coaches named have made it to the grand final in that period, not even counting how many finals wins they have. Knights haven't won a game. If he's invited to their club he's sitting outside by himself. So, he could be one of 5 coaches to get his team into 3 of the last 4 finals series (Bennett was in charge of Souths during that period).
Not a bad club of coaches to be part of.
Perhaps your perception of the club is the problem?
I mean it's not hard to comprehend. If you have a large chunk of a clubs top 30 + their coach in your stable, you have a lot of influence to leverage at a club. This isn't a new issue at the club.I’m trying to understand how there is a power struggle involving Moses when he isn’t sending players here, and we don’t want his players here.
He has some mediocre players that we are not re-signing primarily because they are average. We are slowly diluting his influence over the club any way.
AOB remains managed by him - if AOB is doing his job, he should be holding Moses to account if he isn’t sending the right players to the Knights to help him as his client.
Should add you're trying to brush it off as being just my perception of the coach on page 111 of a Sack Adam O'Brien thread. 5 weeks ago no one would've blinked if he got sacked. So, he could be one of 5 coaches to get his team into 3 of the last 4 finals series (Bennett was in charge of Souths during that period).
