he is a competent and totally adequate player'
That's probably being generous.
he is a competent and totally adequate player'
One swallow doesn't make a summer.Lol Randall is a reserve grader but he is far from the issue with our attack
He was our hooker v Roosters in Rd 1 and we looked very slick. Even against the Panthers in Rd 3 we looked sharp
The problem with the team is a mental one
But it does make for a good timeOne swallow doesn't make a summer.
obviously the fault doesn't lie entirely with Randall but he does play a very important position in the modern game. Randall is abit like Clune, an honest contributor who made 1st grade at a later age through determination and desire in the absense of natural ability. Those guys are leading the reserve grade side around and getting the occasional run in 1st grade not your starting 7 and 9.But it does make for a good time
Seriously though, if youre laying the blame at Randalls feet then youre being massively short sighted indeed

Since when has 'done very well' become to mean 'he is a competent and totally adequate player'? How low are our standards now?
a reserve grader is the start of all our attack, the central distributor of the ball, handles the ball more than any other player = an issue with our attack.Lol Randall is a reserve grader but he is far from the issue with our attack
particularly a spine player, why build a roster with back-up players who've thoroughly reached their ceiling and never amount to much ? why waste the contract on a Randall or a Clune ?You probably need more than one decent hooker in the squad, especially if the one you have gets injured all the time.
After Tinkler pulled the plug the juniors were left all at sea. The club only just started investing in them properly back in 2019, getting in the right staff and systems. Have a look at how well our Ball and Flegg teams are going this year to see how its all starting to bare fruit. Unfortunately we are a few years away from it having an effect on our Cup and 1st grade teams so in the meantime we need to either squeeze the most out of the guys that are here or import othersparticularly a spine player, why build a roster with back-up players who've thoroughly reached their ceiling and never amount to much ? why waste the contract on a Randall or a Clune ?
Where is the strategy of training and coaching the next young fella to take over the reigns of our spine, future proofing the clubs roster?
Who said anything about competent or adequate, he is playing strong every week and by that he has done well unlike some on here I don’t have to make trash comments and wish all to be sackedHe has done very well? Is he in the run for a rep selection or Dally M award?

See my post above mateWhat I don’t get is why we have a hooker like Luke Huth who is about to turn 23 and going into his 4th season in NSW Cup, but unable to get a run at NRL level. He can’t even manage to nail down the starting position in reserves when Randall is playing firsts.
If he isn’t good enough by now to play at this level, is there a particular reason why is he still in the system? Surely there’s a promising junior or recruit who can offer more.
LolSee my post above mate
We have our young guys playing in the comps where they can develop the best. They get to play with each other and come through the grades, now this is the most important part, together. Look at how that benefitted Penrith
It sucks but we need to be patient
You suggest we just play them in Cup and ruin them cause Knights fans cant wait?
I just find it amusing that us Knights fans apparently need to be patient when that's all we've been for the past 20 yearsYou suggest we just play them in Cup and ruin them cause Knights fans cant wait?
No doubt, however the club hasnt been with its development hence the shitty position our juniors were inI just find it amusing that us Knights fans apparently need to be patient when that's all we've been for the past 20 years
do you think we're on a course similar to the Panthers and will be a force in a few years ? Please tell me this is so.Unfortunately we are a few years away from it having an effect on our Cup and 1st grade teams so in the meantime we need to either squeeze the most out of the guys that are here or import others
