King developed under O'Brien imo. Do you remember what he was like before he came to the club?Watching the likes of To'a, Meaney and King do well at other clubs is making me sick. Why haven't the players developed under AOB?
That wasn't the point for me. He's 1000% better than Musgrove. To'a has had 1, maybe 2 ok games for the tigers so far
Was awful the other times he played this year
I wouldnt start holding him up as some sort of "one that got away" just yet
Hard to judge the bloke when he was still working full time as well as playing first grade until mid 2019.King developed under O'Brien imo. Do you remember what he was like before he came to the club?
Maybe, but did anyone show any interest in Musgrove? That wasn't the point for me. He's 1000% better than Musgrove.
I'm glad we didn't stand in his way at a first grade opportunity but in the end it looks like we're handing out helping hands and we've got nothing in return and/or haven't replaced them.Maybe, but did anyone show any interest in Musgrove?
Tough to stand in a players way when he can go somewhere with a genuine shot at FG. Id like our club to be a little more ruthless but in the same vein id not want them to hold players back from a genuine opportunity that our club cant provide.
Its a shame about Musgrove. I thought he looked really good at centre in our 2021 trail against the Storm. Like To'a, he was only given a crack on the wing in firsts and stunk it up. Hes been pretty poor at centre in reggies though
I should be more specific, the "team" doesnt need a major cleanout, we have the nucleus of a very competitive side. Outside of about 11 players though , the "squad" needs a major cull.I can imagine the reaction from Gardner, OB rocks up to say we need a clean out...
I don't believe a clean out is required. Just 1 leader that is a talker and motivator.
Sprinkle some decent depth in the squad wouldn't hurt.
And OB to actually structure the side correctly would be a big plus.
I think Hunt has shown he is worth that wing spotI should be more specific, the "team" doesnt need a major cleanout, we have the nucleus of a very competitive side. Outside of about 11 players though , the "squad" needs a major cull.
These 11 players could take us to a premiership - after these guys we have reserve grade quality ( at best ) , with very few deserving of a place in the squad as back- up players.

Hastings would be a realistic target. I like his attitude towards the game. The guy puts it up as much as he talks it up. He has lost his cockiness which always got in the way of his development.Maybe?

Nanai and Hastings will be free agents in 2024 I believe.
Based on what I've seen so far, he'd be very handy and has the leadership qualities we're looking for.Hastings would be a realistic target. I like his attitude towards the game. The guy puts it up as much as he talks it up. He has lost his cockiness which always got in the way of his development.
Yeah.realistically they are more likely to let Brooks go over HastingsBased on what I've seen so far, he'd be very handy and has the leadership qualities we're looking for.
But I'd also hate to see him leave the Tigers as they took a punt on him in many ways and it'd be nice for them to be rewarded with that/
