Does anyone seriously think we can replicate what Manly just did just by sacking the coach? They have a legitimate halfback, speed right across the backs, and one of the best attacking forwards in Olakau'atu. Plus they must have really hated their old coach. We on the other hand have a makeshift halfback, the world's slowest backline and Sua I suppose is our Olakau'atu equivalent. We are so limited in attacking options it's not funny.

No, but Flanno has hardly made the joint a better place.
His big name recruits are essentially past it and his other recruits are merely filling a jersey. He's already burned through three halves and three 5/8s in two years. His game plan makes Hook look fancy and his press conferences employ the same copy+paste format as his uninspired team selections.
Even if sacking him wouldn't save us, he certainly should never have been extended.

Such a high opinion of the Manly squad. Saab has speed but no football smarts (much like Sloan), Brooks is B-list (much like K Flan), Fogarty hasn't found his feet yet (much like Atko), Jurbo & Turbo are held together with rigid sports tape (much like Gutho & Holmes. Makes you wonder why brought them in...). I do rate Bullemore, Paseka & Olekau'atu highly though. But we got Fifita and that other turkey from them. And look how that worked out.

if u are the Dragons board and CEO

u may believe that the results with a caretaker or Flano won’t be much different against the Dogs and Storm…..that’s are fair assumption ie two losses we’re going to happen anyway

every betting agency was in the oppositions favour and that is a fair recognition of what would happen

you would be disappointed vs the Tits definitely !

But u know that Flano extended to 2028 and deeply involved with Ando gives more weight in negotiations ie KK happened and that was crucial (even if just a perception of solidarity)

Next step is get to end of round 6, assess results and either stay the course for season 2026 while trying to cement the couple more key signings with an appearance of who the coach will be long term
