He is on Matty Johns show at 6 so interesting to see what he has to say. Mind you Matt wont ask the hard questions!
That logic is thoroughly flawed.
Bellamy and Bennett have a long history of success. Mary has zero success. Zero. Do you comprehend that?
Any comparisons between their short periods of difficulties and our even shorter periods of success (namely April and May), is plain stupid.
Straight Shooter
Let's wait until the seasons ends mate and see...
By the way, how far do the Dragons need to progress this season for you to say 'this year was a success'? Semi final? Prelim? Gf?
f**ken articles written by the parasite media suggesting we will struggle come oranges time when all 13 St George players are chosen to play, then McIdiot states we will blood reserve graders to cope with pressures, his rotation of the bench is diabolical, the use of rising of stars has been diabolical, his technical ability is under 16. They must be in rapturous of how they pulled down the pants on our whole club, the 3 amigos Brad Fiddler, Danny Boy and the 1 eyed panther, God bless Stevie Linnane!I am sure Mary is not the right coach for a developing team.He should take a leaf out of Penriths book and get a few hints from Griffin about developing young talent.
Mary's words of wisdom on Foxsports Matty Johns Show worries me. He can certainly beat up his own credentials as a career coach. FMD, look out people!
The bit about I wanted to leave when Steve Price was sacked as we were good mates, was stretching things!
I think we are in for a few more rocky road years with Mary as he continues to grow and develop on his 10 year coaching apprenticeship.
OKB after seeing that wonderful interview with Wayne Bennett by Mick Ennis to celebrate his 800 matches, what a difference.Your a hard but fair man there, Coffs.
If he can't separate work and friends in a coaching role, he's not the right person then for the job.
The Chinless one was at his level with the lower grades.
He did a good job there but was no first grade coach.
The same may apply to Mary.
As always, I'll sit on the fence about Mary.
I mean, are you surprised?OKB after seeing that wonderful interview with Wayne Bennett by Mick Ennis to celebrate his 800 matches, what a difference.
Bennett, humble with no self promotion and all about the players making them better men on and off the field.
Mary, selling himself as formerly running a successful business and having won 3 premierships in the local Illawarra Cup.
f**king Chalk and Cheese in styles and approach. You pay peanuts then you'll get a monkey.

Exactly this , its been the same since Bennett left ..... We need outside influence ......That right there is the problem. “Mates”
All they players love Mary, because they are “mates”, a “mate” won’t drop a “mate” when they play poorly week after week after week.
We all have those “mates” that a complete waste of space, who continually do stupid crap every time, but we stick with them over the years cause we’ve always been “mates”.
Bennett love his players, treats them like sons in same cases, yes I’m looking at you Darius, but they are not “mates”, when the hard call comes for the good of the team and in a lot of cases the good of the player, they are dropped.
Anyone recall Mary dropping a player?
Michael Maguire is another who would do a better jobThat right there is the problem. “Mates”

With the exception of Bellemy and Bennett who get the benefit of being one team towns and, how should I put it? “Creative accounting” modern coaching I feel is a 3-5 year gig.
If you haven’t had success in that period, which gives you time to recruit and institute your own structures, it should be bye bye time.
If you haven’t succeeded in that time, your long term players start to doubt your ability and it turns into ground hog day for them, always promising, never delivering, never improving.
Sometimes the period is shorter, look at Madge at Souths, delivered, lost the players, gone.
Now if Mary can’t deliver this year, big names recruits and all, at least a top 4 finish, it should not even be a question of going, he should be gone,
Use to have a set of these . I still know Funk all ..
