Yeah that’s right.

Full page spread in the papers and endless sgi pro Mary propaganda on win tv.

But a couple of innocent fans rock up with a few home truth signs and they are barred and then threatened.

Next week some of the lads should refuse to let go their banners and proudly walk in.

Their imminent arrest and rough handling by the club or councils security wankers will only serve to create further interest in the cause.

Is a club that hates its fans and members worthy of any support.

You boys are too forgiving.

Perhaps a sack Mary chant might work. Let them bloody suffocate you on live tv. Win would only cut to an 80 minute ad break.

It’s nearly the end of the season, time to fire up.

We are St George Illawarra supporters that is what we did to deserve this .
The so called journalists always preface their defence of McMediocrity with Dragon supporter have high expectations or something of that ilk as if you are expecting the team to make the finals is a high standard but the truth is it is something every supporter in the league would want of their team not to be good ALSO RANS.

Journos are not what they used to be ,they have become on the whole gossip queens the Loella Parsons and Hedda Hoppers of the League they want to be the story not report on the game as the likes of Geoff Prenter , Bill Mordey and Alan Clarkson to name a few used to, they do not set themselves apart from the the games administrators they want to sidle up to them .

What they and the St George board have to understand is that they are in the entertainment business and the fact that in this form of entertainment winning games satisfies the patrons .
If in any form of professional sport winning is the criteria by which any coach and club is measured ask any sports fan what their minimum hope is at the start of the season most would say to make the finals .
No we need the coach ( it's a euphemism ) to be gone .SACK McGREGOR

Excellent post St. Hope , you have exposed exactly what this modern ‘ breed ‘ of jurno’s are truly like , as well as the only solution to our teams problem.

Two ideas:

a) Supporters pitch in for a plane to fly over before the game, carrying a 'Sack McGregor' banner

b) Organise fans into groups of 12, with every fan in each group wearing shirts with the following letters on them:

A
C
C
E
G
G
K
M
O
R
R
S

Then, dispersing these groups of 12 throughout the stadium, have them all stand up as one before the game, with the groups organised so that left to right, their shirts spell: SACK MCGREGOR

Great idea mate.

Trouble is they shouldn’t get 12 people to go to the game.

If McIdiot is not the reason for our dismal performance then it must be the players. If that is the case why aren’t the players who are not performing dropped.
Why is Lomax not given a chance to play in his preferred position, in the centers.

She was a Hollywood gossip columnist who along with Loella Parsons thought they were the king and queen makers of Hollywood .
I do not want the journos slagging off ,digging up dirt or anything of the kind ,all I want is for them to report the facts and consequences of the Dragons situation and as a comparison what has happened to other coaches in his situation not sweep it under the carpet because Mary is a nice bloke

Would love to see those ideas come into fruition but not sure if The Resistance has that level of organization yet. May have to conduct individual guerrilla tactics:

a) Cost someone some money for the posters and a lot of tape but for home games in 2020 print up some long Sack Mary / F^&* WIN Corp posters to put up on the telephone poles along Princess HWY the night before a game.

b) Preferably if you have access to a photo copier owned by a WIN Corp business so they pay for the paper and ink but before any game, print out some flyers with all of Paul's records such as the biggest loss at Kogarah Oval, lowest attendance figures in the league, 15th on the ladder, etc.

Dragons policy on game day banner registration

A reminder to all St George Illawarra Dragons members and fans that the club has had a banner and flag registration policy for several years in name of assisting ease of entry to supporters on match days.

We currently have 24 banners or flags registered as a result of this policy; the process as found in the venue information page on our website is as follows:

  • Poles (including metal flag poles), sticks or oversized flags/banners (1.5m x 1m with flagpoles over 1.4m), including 'selfie sticks' are not permitted into the venue unless otherwise pre-registered with the club.
  • To register a banner, it's encouraged to contact redv@dragons.com.auwith the dimensions and wording at least one week prior to the game.
  • We ask spectators to be mindful that large flags and banners may restrict other spectators' viewing capabilities. Flags and banners cannot be hung from fences and cannot obstruct signage.
The club was made aware after the Dragons' Round 23 clash against the Sydney Roosters on Saturday night that a non-member was not permitted entry into Netstrata Jubilee Stadium with their banner.

Netstrata Jubilee Stadium is owned and managed by Georges River Council. Council management made the decision, in isolation, to not permit entry without consulting the Dragons.

The club have had regular discussions with Netstrata Jubilee management about banners and there is a process in place to notify the club before any refusal. Georges River Council acted outside of this process.

When the club contacted venue management after the game, Georges River Council provided the following response: "Stadium management considered the content of the banners to be derogatory and inflammatory and denied entry of the banners in the interests of the client and public order, in accordance with the Conditions of Entry at the venue."

The purpose of the banner registration process, which many other NRL clubs also have, is to avoid situations such as the one that occurred on Saturday.

Had the Dragons been made aware of the circumstances on Saturday by Georges River Council, as is the agreed process, the banner would have been permitted entry.

The St George Illawarra Dragons refute any suggestions of involvement in the decision or censorship, and would encourage all supporters intending to bring banners to future games to utilise the banner registration policy that's in place.
