Paul, we don't need to know you personally nor do we care.
Professionally, you have proven to be lacking in skill, knowledge and aptitude as an NRL coach.
You and the club have been in denial for a number of years.

Perfectly said DP

Your first paragraph perfectly reflects Waterboy’s reliance on the ‘personal’ for survival, having sucked on Andrew Gordon’s patronage since 2014.

His survival is based on patronage, not performance.
Neither he nor the Board are interested in performance markers.

Thus we have the denial of stats

His selections are highly personal in the rewarding of displayed loyalty (almost Trumpian in fact)

Professional yardsticks, as you say DP, are not part of his focus, lexicon, aptitudes or mental capacity

The disintegration of a longterm (& professionally unfathomable) personal power network based partially around Aitken & Lafai is evidenced in Lafai’s meltdown,

as things fall apart

- apparent again in Tyson’s very pointed rejection of his professional capacity to win a title

His rustic radio chat self-promoting politics and reward systems are very personal, as is the Board’s clear Boys’ Club ethos

It’s really up to Andrew Gordon to end this farce & confront the reality & destructive consequences of an unprofessional relationship with a friend who’s in denial & out of his depth

A true friend would tell him the truth
....as Tyson has tried to

Gareth67,
I've done some homework on Branson and he's not so shiny & pure as people may think.
There have been quite a number of 'Virgin' companies that have been quietly dismissed & gone bust.

He starts a company off all big under the Virgin banner, then quietly sells off large chunks and keeps a small portion as a retainer. Some last but under huge debt, like Virgin Australia while others simply fade away and when they do, he cries poor and blames the governments, meanwhile he's ripped the cream out of it.

Typical big business. He's a long haired git with and ugly mug.

All true. He’s had more than his fair share of industrial issues under his watch as well.

I read his autobiography, hours I will never recover.

He’s a kind of big business version of Mary.

Corey Norman and MG on the radio now, LIVE, mmmm, Mary detector at the ready:

The club ring him daily.
He wants a new season to start.
Horo has moved in.
Gambling at races.
Business interests ok.
Good that players can think about other things over the spell.
McInness hates not playing
Dufty is good to stir.

Sounds pretty relaxed.

No questions about Mary, Tyson etc.

Then again it is MG. A f**king labotomy is required to listen any longer.

Yes OKB1 I had the same impression myself , he is a sneaky sod and there’s no accolades for being a sneaky berstard .

I find Branson very similar to being a Corporate raider but of a different ilk , as you have said he sets the companies up only to get want he can from it and then moves on to another interest , whatever that may be - flying into the stratosphere for instance .

My apologies to one and all for veering off the subject at hand , however I do need the occasional rant to keep my dicky ticker going .

SACK THE MAESTRO !

OKB exaclty - he just has enough skin in
Nicely put, LS .................... however, if Branson was to sponsor our club, he would barstardise it it.
He would sell off as much of it he could and probably keep 10% ( like Virgin ) ....slap his ugly mug all over the newspapers each week saying how much he loves his hair & goatie and does he look good in a coset?
He would drive the clubs debt to breaking point ( like Virgin and long before Co-vid19 ) .... and then ask the tax payers to bail them out when it all goes to custard.

Nah, just another glorified tosser with a head liked a smack A-hole and we don't want him at any cost.

It’s sadly got to a point that I feel the world has a better chance of eradicating Coronavirus than we have of getting rid of Mary from our club.

Day 18
Ryan Webb

Raelene Castle’s found out the hard way that footy’s about, results, stats & public support.

Not friendships or loyalty

And more importantly, Andrew, the support of elite players, several of whom turned very publicly on her.

Tyson, our most elite player has turned on Waterboy & others are about to follow

No external elite players will play under your Waterboy.

So are you going to put your friend through a public petition or player revolt?

Or there’s the more honourable & legacy-friendly golden handshake stepping aside option:

Did my due diligence on new chief Mary Apologist Webb.

He was head of a company that made a kind of Pokémon for businesses. Vouchers would appear on your phone as you walked down the street as against you google real map.

Obviously a major contribution to humanity over the course of world history.

My doubt is well-placed because he’s been appointed and Mary is still coaching.

The board takes five months searching the worlds captains of industry for old mate. Reminds me of BJs “astute” engagement.

Welcome to sgi son. You know what you have to do.

His tenure looks like being shorter than the Mute.

So status quo’s the go!

Frank would roll over in his grave as they used to say.

These guys will find themselves on a very discredited side of Club history

The players & fans ( who are the game) will have the final say
(13,570 posts by the Fans seem to be trying to tell you something about your friend’s failure Andrew?

(Fu/ck I’m sorry, it’s those stats again)

Can you be that tone deaf?)

PS
We’ve clinically diagnosed The Waterboy with triskaidekaphobia

... as that’s where we always land on most stats

....most damningly on current ladder & 2019 RM & RMC

You can just imagine the ceo interview “ clutch moment”

Board rep: Ahem, I am not sure if you are aware, we don’t discuss him publically, but we’ve had this little problem and....

Webb: the elephant I think.....

Board rep: Yes and....

Webb: It’s ok, I think I understand the Boards position.

Board rep: And we have some documents to give him ( passes over paperwork)

Webb: (looking), Oh Sir, I see think it’s only 2 extra years here, would 3 suffice?

Bored rep: Very good (shaking hands), welcome to the club.

Linespeed i copy that but double you with this mate - my wife and I had Lockdown sex last night -

Love Is in the Air
John Paul Young
Love is in the air, everywhere I look around
Love is in the air, every sight and every sound
And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes
Love is in the air, in the whisper of the tree
Love is in the air, in the thunder of the sea
And I don't know if I'm just dreaming
Don't know if I feel safe
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when you call out my name
Love is in the air
Love is in the air
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Love is in the air, in the rising of the sun
Love is in the air, when the day is nearly done
And I don't know if you're illusion
Don't know if I see truth
But you're something that I must believe in
And you're there when I reach out…

Breaking Live : NSW Police suspend investigation into cruise ship after captain and crew found to be of good character.

Well at least his judgment was spot on with the Illawarra Waterboy - even in quarantine he can garner facts & decipher stats.

...unlike our comatose carnival Board full of clowns

I listened one again to the Webb pr broadcast.

He said it’s “a great list and there’s no reason why the team shouldn’t be in the finals..”

422A8005-A8FD-4395-A19B-72FC9D73AB81.jpeg

Compare and contrast his optimism against the dark reality captured above. Didn’t he watch it?

The reason the club won’t make the finals is sitting in the middle and the guy on our left, who knows the squad and the club a million times better than Mr Webb, appears to agree.

You can only hope Mr Webb sees the light and embarks on a quiet campaign of back stabbing and subterfuge at every opportunity to get the job done. It’s part of the ceo DNA. It will be easy and professionally rewarding.

So far as every fan, member and friend cares about, he has one job and one job only.

Everything else is excess to requirements.

Mary has to be sacked by April 29.

Anything else is unacceptable. It may cost him his job now, but when the wheels turn, he will be considered the Johnny Raper of sgi ceos. People won’t f**k with him for the rest of his life and he will be perpetually headhunted for his courage and nous.

Die on your feet Webby. You get one life here, make it f**king count.
