In actual fact it was while Trent Barrett was at Manly when was their first interest or inquiry into signing Garrick initially...as they were desperate for backs
Dragons as of pre season said his spot was not guaranteed where Manly could
I suppose you could say that we get cast offs from other clubs and they don't perform or improve.
Our cast offs go to other clubs and often do very well once they get their chance in FG.
There seems to be a pattern there.
Just watching Garrick these days and he is still not perfect but gee whiz, he has come a long way under Hasler's tutelage.

Jimmy you are 100% correct. I just wonder if in todays game, that notion has become irrelevant. You can have a great nursery of players, but the $$$ now rule.

The nostalgia is having "locals" or "juniors" is great if its met with results.

Your right, Tru.
The Rorters have proven you don't need a nursery, just money and uncle Nick.
McGregor is currently trying to prove this theroy correct as well.

Coach said this is a chance for the young players to step up just maybe it's a greater opportunity for the coach to step down if it goes anything like this match last year we got beat 52 - 30 and lead with about twenty to go
St Hope
another unbelievable quote from supercoach .. yet it was only a few weeks ago that he blasted the playing group ( majority still in the 17 ) for not having a go .. only one gone Maranta . And young player Allgood getting a start in front of Timms amazing . Buy the guy in the off season he performs in cc but no hes not worthy and not wanted next year ( read on forum ) Be interesting to find out why hes not required and if he is no good then crikey we set the bar bloody high and there must be a clean out happening if thats the case . Oh well he will be offered a top 17 somewhere else and will make us pay down the track .. I cant see us scoring 30 tonite unless Bellyache keeps his boys in the sheds first half
supercoach will bemoan the loss of SOO players but be excited that Lats and allgood looked nice when they lined up for the kick off - But he wont even consider stepping down unless he is on the painters ladder

If you've just arrived from outer space and you see the origin teams, you'd think Dragons must be a top 4 side. Both their halves, two exceptional back rowers and a prop.

I know Mary has already pre-written excuses for losing tonight but overall there is no excuse for not at least being comfortably entrenched in the 8.

Last night we witness another McGregor verbal classic.
The Dragons played some better football but still lost.

"It’s a small win within a loss."

OKB says, "lt's still a loss, numb-nuts!"

Still not sure what we actually won. Luckily it's ok because ,while I don't speak McGregor, I've picked up enough over the last 5 years to know the meaning. Translated "We didn't get embarrassed so my job couldn't be safer".
