More than likely it won't matter as they will only instigate another review on the previous review. Then a motion will be passed to get an independent advisory panel in to conduct a audit of the operation. Unfortunately, they will appoint the firm of : Price, Waterhouse, Doust & Young Solutions and so nothing will change.

Come on guys, the agenda will be.
Crown Lager or Tooheys New
YumCha or mixed Grill
Should long socks be warn with shorts
Will the Safari Suit make a come back.

The longer we hear nothing from the club the more it looks like we are in for a long season.

Can anyone confirm if next season is an option to keep Price or did he sign a 2 year extension last season? I keep hearing he is signed till next season but I thought next season was only an option. It that is the case then they would not owe him any money for next season if they do cut him.

They have just forked out money for Benji so money does not look like the issue. Anyone know what Price would be on?

Looks like the target set for this season is not to get wooden spoon. Good to see we go for a club with high expectations.

If Price is cut now, the Club would have to pay him out for the remainder of the season.

The real problem is who has the Club got in mind to take over. In my opinion the Board has the following options:

Mary to head coach
This should not be an option as Mary and Young have to be accountable for the part they have played this year.

Millward
Probably the most likely selection mainly because the Board likes to 'keep it all in the family' so to speak - jobs for the boys.

Sheens
He could be the way the Board is thinking. This week Sheens has initiated actions to resolve the dispute with the Tigers regarding a payout of his contract maybe making the way clear for appointment as coach of the Dragons. Would make Benji very happy.

B Smith
He is not under contract so can start right way. He has a reputation of being able to bring teams up to speed over the short term. In my opinion a good short term solution.

Henry
Also not under contract and could start immediately. Also a good option for our Club.

Bennett
Most probably will not be at Newcastle next year howver, I think it most likely that he would retire or return to the Broncos.

Taylor
In my opinion not what the Club is looking for right now. He is young and relatively inexperienced.

Steve Price finds himself in all too familiar territory as pressure begins to mount on the Dragons coach before this week's St George Illawarra board meeting.
For the second consecutive year the Dragons have started their season with four wins from 10 matches, with Price now under fire after his side slumped to their sixth loss from the last seven games against Parramatta on Saturday afternoon.
It comes as Price decides whether to play Benji Marshall in the NSW Cup for the Illawarra Cutters on Saturday after his first hit-out for the joint venture last Saturday, as the Dragons have a week off with the bye.
Apparently Price's future isn't on the formal agenda for the St George Illawarra board meeting, but question marks have appeared following a dramatic change of fortunes for the team that won their opening three games of the season.
In the first year of a new two-year deal announced on Anzac Day last year, Price has managed to assemble a strong roster of his own rather than the ageing team inherited from Wayne Bennett in 2012.
Price has added Josh Dugan, Gerard Beale, Gareth Widdop and now Marshall, but the Dragons haven't been able to live up to the promise they displayed in the first month.
In the past fortnight against Canterbury and Parramatta, the Dragons have conceded 74 points and scored just six and now sit 15th overall in defence and 13th in attack.
Some Dragons fans have turned against their coach, with more than 500 signing an online petition in the past 48 hours as part of a campaign to remove Price as head coach.
The petition directed to Dragons chief executive Peter Doust read: "The 2014 season is now an embarrassment. The coach of the Dragons has a mountain of talent to work with and has turned the side into the worst in the competition by far. With better options available in the rugby league world, the fans demand action."
Half a dozen disgruntled fans, led by lifelong Dragons fan Peter Trad, turned up at St George Leagues Club on Sunday afternoon with a 20-metre banner that read: The Price is Wrong.
"We took the banner out to the Leagues Club and we plan to unveil the banner at the next game in round 12 and every game after that," Trad said. "They will probably confiscate it but we will make a new one and bring it out at every game if Price is still there. We've had a lot of support on social media and we want the club to know we're very serious about this."
Price will meet with Illawarra Cutters coach Ian Millward on Monday morning to discuss the possibility of Marshall playing in the NSW Cup against the Newtown Jets at Henson Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Dragons have the bye, and with Marshall admitting the speed of the game had increased during his short absence, a stint in the NSW Cup might provide the former Wests Tigers playmaker with an opportunity to get some miles into his legs.
St George Illawarra, who are now in 13th position, don't play their next game until Monday, June 2 against South Sydney at ANZ Stadium - just five days after the opening game of the State of Origin series.

It seems to be death by a thousand cuts at present.
Cruel all around.
Cruel for us, cruel for Price. Just prolonging the misery.
Let the man go so that he can get out of the spotlight for a bit, be with his family, and try to resurrect his future.

And so he should. He has brought most of this on himself so he must suffer the consequences.[/QUOTESO

So the Players who showed almost no ticker and Doust who hired him and is in charge of almost everything are blameless? He has to go but a fair go suggests he's a long way from being the sole problem at the club.

Sheens and Benji have issues apparently so that leaves Henry. My choice at the start of the year was Arthurs.

Agree.
Extending Price's tenure last year is showing how abysmal the board is regardless of our roster at the time.Even some of the crap performances later in the season ,the signs were there to at least review the coaching position.
Oh,but they did review it didn't they.

So if we beat a depleted Souths team over the origin period, does that count as a success seeing we will have close to full strength bar Morris and maybe Merrin??

This club is a joke. Perfect time to sack the coach after 2 bad losses and bring in an interm coach who has 2 weeks to prepare the team before the next game.

I think the Souths game is after origin 1 so all players available.!'
