Bring it home Knights

I think Dobson is as good a backup half as there is around in the competition. We are lucky to have a half who can genuinely be the lead playmaker at NRL level sitting in reserve grade.

I am very happy with his signing. Without him there would be way too much pressure on Tyrone if Mullo is out.

I was thinking that during the game yesterday. If Dobson wasn't there, who would be the 5/8? Gidley (no thanks)? Whilst Dobson is not setting the world on fire, he is contributing to the team and without him there we would be far worse off.

Jesus, it was one game guys. They need to provide that every week to get out of the hate zone.

One good game per month is not going to cut it. The Sharks were shithouse... they had very little line speed and were dropping off tackles all over the place. We put them to the sword, as we should have... but we need to be doing this week in, week out.

I said the other week that when we eventually won (and other games we will win) it would more than likely be by a healthy margin when we controlled the ball better and gave away less penalties. I think we will always keep our for and against in check due to our ability to put a team away if they are not at their best.

But our issue this season will be actually winning enough games against teams that are both decent and in decent form. I fully expected us to put that Cronulla side yesterday, and we needed to. But we also should've put away a rather scratchy Canberra team and a Penrith side finding its feet with new combinations in the opening round.

I'll start growing in optimism when we prove we can do it consistently. If we lose to the Cowboys and Raiders (both away) we will be 1 from 6 and our smash-up of the depleted Sharks will look exactly like what it was.

Happy with the win, reserving judgment on what it means.

Also I know I harp on about this, but interesting to note that we ignored the penalty goal early in the match yesterday and proceeded to get on a massive roll of possession, field position and points.

You can't tell me that wasn't a change of tactics from WB because this was the exact kind of situation we've been taking the 2 points every single time for 2 years.

And if it was indeed a change of tactics, I'm not going to be shy in saying "I told you so" (two years ago), Wayne. But better late than never.

One thing is certain, the Sharks would much rather we slotted two points than set up camp at their end of the field and built such dominant momentum. Everything about our attitude said "we are here to score some tries, we back ourselves not to let this become a low-scoring scrapfest". That's an attitude we haven't displayed consistently in the past.

If not from the team, then at least from the captaincy. Has to be the least inspirational captain in the game. Does f**k all talking, and whinges to the refs so much that we can't buy a f**king penalty

Nepotism is alive and well, despite being rubbish and rapidly approaching his used by date

Forget rapidly approaching, he's been there a while. He's had one passable game this season in a team that had their tails up deluxe.

Having said that, he wasn't alone tonight. All our blokes were f**king idiots today.

I just changed my 6 day old daughters diaper. The runny green poo that was waiting in there for me bore a striking resemblance to our fabled captain, Kurt Gidley.

They were alike in every possible way.

Except one.

I found the runny, green poo...inspiring. It made me want to reach my potential, and then exceed that potential. Looking at this poo that was smeared in this diaper, I felt like anything was possible.

Whenever I look at Kurt's face, I want to shoot him. Out of a cannon. Into the sun

I feel that the best way for the knights to move forward is to replace Gidley with the runny green poo. Whilst their skill set is fairly similar, I feel that it is this ability of the poo to inspire that gives it the edge over Gidley.

It's just sad really, just a weekly train wreck for all to see and no one at then club can or will do anything about it.

The guy has been a loyal servant for us but it's over and everyone knows it.

Yep. Still getting to grips with when to change her though. Heard her do a wet fart earlier today, so I put her on the change table and took the nappy off. Lo and behold, there was some poo in there. So I cleaned her up and got ready to put the new nappy on.

But what she didn't tell me is that she hadn't finished.

Deadset, it was like a volcano. And it went everywhere

Reports are circulating that it's between gidley and Ennis for Nsw hooker spot

If gidley gets picked.... It would be solid proof that Daley does not watch any footy and is purely going off reputation
