In what f**king universe is Sam a guy who doesn't love the push and shove game?

He's one of the worst in the league for it. Problem is, as keeps being reiterated, that whenever it goes beyond push and shove he goes into his shell because he's a cat

Show me one instance where Thaiday runs into a scuffle with a flying punch. It hasn't happened. There is a difference to doing that, and running in and grabbing someone. Seems like everyone on the field knew that except Jennings

There is no instances of Thaiday doing that, because Thaiday doesn't fight. He attacks people from behind and runs scared when confronted.

Never the less, Thaidays charge on Jennings the other year was FIERCE.

It's different in that one is a shoulder charge and one is a punch, but they both have the potential for serious damage. I would say actually that running in like Thaiday has more potential for actual injury than what Jennings did.

But that's Thaiday. It will never be the same because Thaiday is never willing to throw-down. He'll run in and try to break someones ribs instead

Going by this thread, no one has produced anything to show why Thaiday is so hated. The closest the mob has come is to mumble something about the potential for damage a body check can do (remembering he doesn't run in and throw punches to someone not looking, like say NSW Origin player Jennings did). This is ironic seeing as his main role in these brawls is to run in and restrain players, unlike say Mitchell Pearce who again runs in throwing punches at blokes who aren't ready.

Turns out he hit everyone's favourite villain Sam Thaiday with one of these and what did big, scary, evil Sam do? Laughed. Oh what a thug!

Funny how in that incident, one on one a qld'er got knocked the f**k out, and then the whole tough team had get together to bomb it and then hammer the smallest NSW player on the field. Yep, real tough men alright, who are all above board with no cheap shots.

Brisbane Broncos forward Sam Thaiday has been warned by NRL match review committee chairman Greg McCallum to curb his "third man in" activities or face a lengthy ban.

With the NRL finals just around the corner, McCallum said that Thaiday was treading a fine line rushing in to "protect" teammates he felt had been aggrieved.

McCallum said Thaiday had escaped suspension this week because he had not thrown any punches in an ugly incident in last Friday night's match against the Cowboys in Townsville.

"Sam has done it a couple of times now, and if he starts throwing punches he will be in trouble," McCallum said.
