Serious question, is it possible any of the incoming players signed contracts with a clause in it that if Sonny Bill wasn't at the club for 2009, their contract is void?

Unlikely, but you can't be certain that Ennis, Hannant etc weren't convinced to go to the club because of Sonny Bill's presence, and it would be interesting if either had a special clause in their deals to can the contract if he walked out.

Poor Sonny, raking in $500k a year to sit on the sidelines half the time must have been so tough.

The Bulldogs should sue his ass for every damn penny.

OThis is honestly unbelievable, the bloke has taken all on a joy ride. First he goes he lost all respect for Willie, then then reports emerged he wants to leave, he denies them and says his happy and will honour his contract, does publicity on footy show saying all is good, does the whole promotion thing for the Warriors game and then was acting all good at the fan day.

And then this out of nowhere, it was all an act and he is one of the fakest people out, all he is after is the money, it is really f'ing pathetic and i couldnt give a sh!t about the guy anymore.

They're saying he'll probably play in the centres in rugby.

Won't be able to hack the scrums they think.

This is on ABC radio btw.

Dogs CEO said they'll take out an injunction stopping him from playing anywhere else if he signs with another side

the NRL need to support them fully in this regard. grant them salary cap concessions while ever he remains under contract to the dogs and wants to play elsewhere. let him sit on his a$$ somewhere and become another wasted talent for the next 4 years. good luck coming back to any major level of sport after 4 years sitting on the sidelines.

Yeh, his been good when been on the field but the trouble and head aches he has caused off the field are just way too much now, he is not worth the effort at all, us fans have put up with so much and he has taken us for a joy ride.

This is worse then what Willie did imo, SBW you really are a low life and you will realise one day what a selfish b!tch you are.

Agreed, the Bulldogs and the NRL need to step in and make sure that he can not sign a valid contract anywhere else, they need to show a hard stance here and let him sit on his a$$ for the next few yrs, do whatever it takes and i hope and pray that the NRL backs the Bulldogs up 100%

******* hell

Full apologies to CP, this story seemed so bloody far fetched

I hope the Dogs screw him in a very big way

I would even go as far as saying that the NRL should give the Dogs a special concession on the cap, so that they can sit him out for 4 years, but still be able to use their full salary cap

What a scumbag SBW has been turned into

Will he ever come back to Australia? $1.5 million a year is a stack of cash though, a million more a year than he gets now.

both Mundine and Williams are big boys and can look after themselves. don't blame it all on Khoder - yeah he's a c*ck, but they are big enough to make their own decisions. you can usually tell a lot of a person by the people they surround themselves with.

That won't be an option. I'm 99% sure that you can't file an injunction to prevent someone from plying their trade. They can sue him for contract violation, but can't prevent him from playing overseas.

I'M NOT A LAWYER, SO THIS MAY NOT BE 100% CORRECT.
