Beyond Smith and Warner, it's a pretty useless fielding side - I don't recall an Australian side fielding as badly as this, and it's not one-off stuff

Doesn't seem like it. When Ponting was captaining it seemed like the stumps were hit every single time there was a half-chance. Even a few years ago it still seemed that way.

We where pretty shit in the 80's in the Kim Hughes/Greg Chappell era.
