Poor work from Haddin, missed the ball and poor awareness afterward.

Dull session in general. SCG pitch has been pretty good in recent years but this year it really is dull. 2004 against India was the last time I remember it being this flat

Commentators still blamed Cummins for it. Looked like Cummins had already thrown it to Haddin before they called for it at the bowlers end. Might be wrong, though.

Looks like they have made up their mind to stonewall and survive all the remaining days, bit odd really

First time I can recall a team playing for a draw on day 3 in their first innings without any rain/light delays.

Shocking decision.

Go after the runs in the first dig, ODI style.

Do the go slow in the second innings.

Agree, India are not trying to win this.

Nathan Lyon is really starting to piss me off, every ball he has bowled in 4 test matches has been the same, no variation that I have seen at all.

The ball that be bowls short of a length to Kholi outside off is so predictable that Kholi just swipes across the line and knocks it down to long on for a run.

If Lyon could ever just bowl a toppie or arm ball he would hit the edge of the bat and nick it to Hads or slip because Kholi plays with an angled bat. He is so predictable that Kholi knows it will spin back onto the middle of the bat for runs.

Surely people out there or in our brains trust can see this.

To be fair, it would take a miracle for them to win this given the situation and the wicket... stonewalling is not the answer, but realism is

Yeah true but would you pay money to watch these stonewalls bat ?

On this pitch they should be having a dig at the quicks while keeping Lyon out.

Not long back we made over 500 in Adelaide and the poms matched our score but we won because we didn't surrender.

You shouldn't be surrendering on day 3 of a test match imo.

I reckon England tried to play for a draw from Day 1 of the boxing day test last year.

I sat through one of the more boring days of test cricket, only scoring 226 runs for the day. This day might be match it.

It was only the flurry of wickets in the last hour that made the game midly entertaining.

Kohli's worth watching - the reason he's unpopular with you lot is first he's very good, and second he stands up to your lot

They are not stonewalling. That's ridiculous to say. They don't expect to win and they are not scoring quickly but they are looking to score from loose balls. The scoreboard is ticking over steadily. They're just not taking any risks. That's understandable in their position. If they are all out 400 around lunch time tomorrow they will only have to survive about 3 and a half sessions at the end of the game to not lose.

Well this lot actually doesn't mind Kholi for the reasons that most people dont like him.

I like seeing someone stand up to the likes of Warner, Hads and Notch, I reckon it makes for good entertainment.

Kholi's form of sledging is unique according to Notch, he doesn't sledge he just talks himself up.

He gets called a spoilt brat but he admits that and he's said that's the way he is. I have more respect for cricketers who will stand up to our sledging etc, than those who whinge and complain, which he doesn't, he just gets on with his game which is a very good one.
