Saha beginning to look good too. If these 2 make it through tonight it'll be tough. They'll have energy tomorrow and with a real chance of making it to lunch. If we don't bat until after lunch then they won't need to get through much more than 3 sessions. And I don't think we're good enough to get them all out in 3-3.5 sessions.

I am predicting a draw.

Shane Warne spot on. Sydney is a great place to visit for a weekend before going home to beautiful Melbourne for the rest of the year.

Pretty ordinary day with the ball, twatto double strike stopped it from being all bad. Continue to make figjjam look like an Indian Bradman. Hopefully the captain learns from his own poor day too.

Just 4 wickets today, very disappointing. Kohli unbeaten 140. We'll need to do much better tomorrow.

It's rarely a good sign when we're on day 4 and one team is just 5 wickets down in their 1st innings.

Only Starc and Watson bowled well.

Sydney is better than Melbourne in every respect now. You don't actually live in either city.

not so sure, Stac had a few dropped and if we hung onto half the catches we dropped, the spoilt brat would not have made his ton and they would have been looking at a follow on

I think we created enough chances but didn't take them, only our selves to blame

and yeh, about time Watson earned his pay packet

For a result we need to roll them in tomorrows first session, have a 130-150 lead

pile on some runs and be 350-360 ahead at stumps.

Have a look at the wicket day 5 before deciding wether to bat on or declare.

Draw looks most likely. First session will tell the story tomorrow day 4 for mine

We need to rip in and get through them in the first session. If they fight on much into day 4 we'll run out of time.

Weather and public transport. Melbourne's is much more to my taste than Sydney. Summer is half the year up here.

Everyone says the wicket is gonna crumble and crack.

The only chance Lyon has of getting a ball to go straight on is to hit one of the cracks so you just never know.

Why does Lyon refuse to have the straight ball as part of his bag of tricks? That's usually the one bit of variety off spinners have and he hates it for some reason.

I'm also annoyed by quicks refusing to learn to swing the ball both ways when that is what you need on flat decks where you get nothing from the pitch.
