I wonder if the pitch was affected by the reschedule and the Tuesday start. Bit of extra pressure on the groundsman to make sure they make it to the only weekend day.

Kohli averages 13 in England from 10 innings and yet he is scoring centuries over here with pure ease, just shows how utterly disgusting the pitches have been this summer in Australia.

Virat Plod

Trolling, nonetheless, on the same pitches against much much MUCH worse bowling only Smith has matched him...

good point but would have worked the other way, it takes time to prepare a road, an underprepared pitch would be a lot harder to bat on

One thing I find funny is that despite the vaunted Australian sledging machine (which is largely a myth because 90% of it is boorish puerile nonsense) the best they seem to have for Kohli is to call him a spoilt brat - wow, great stuff that

I don't understand. You saying there wasn't enough time from the reschedule decision to the test start to prepare a definate 5 dayer ?

exactly, takes about a month to prepare a test wicket assuming it was in good condition at the time

if its poor condition, it takes longer, poor condition is normally if douchebags like the Sydney Swans f**k it up

we have an LU member here who is a curator, he will know more than me

its not a myth just because you're a softcock

they've said a lot more than that but only when stump cam can't pick it up

if anyone is seriously affected by name calling they shouldn't be playing sport at this level,

do you really think that sledging is unique to cricket ?

Mitchell Johnson didn't do anything,he said "Why you chirping" which means Jimmy was the one sledging.

Ryan Harris you mong,Johnno must hate you.

you sure ?

apparently Aussies are the only ones who sledge

Yeah cuz,old mate Jimmy was sledging whilst bowling like a genius and just so happened to get incredibly lucky the next ball after Johnno said a few words back.

Ryan Harris why you get bowled for and let Jimmy get the last laugh,Jimmy is an annoying Backstreet Boy looking mother effer who has a similar cry face to Shane Watson.

 so why the name calling? (and hilarious that you engage in it when questioned, not juvenile at all )

I couldn't care less whether cricketers or any other sportsmen do ut, but clearly the Aussies cross the line far too often (as do some teams when the play Aust)

I don't think name calling has any effect, just puzzles me that they bother - and please, let's not pretend that any intelligent comments come from the likes of Warner

I agree. And clearly Kohli isn't.

What shits me is this bullshit attitude that some have, which seems to insinuate that only Australians are allowed to sledge, or that you can only sledge when your winning, or your not allowed to say anything in press conferences (unless your an Aussie) etc etc.

Its comes across as us Aussies not being able to take or own medicine, and acting like bullies in the schoolyard.

I for one welcome the chatter, it adds to the game.

Just to be clear though, Im not supporting your "Tally Ho, Gentlemen" let's not sledge or talk at all position.

Just the slightly colonial, bully boy view of "those guys aren't supposed to talk back to us!"
