Why bring his religion into it? You’re not a bigot are you?

because he tells us he’s a Christian. He advertises it. I thought he’d hold up Christian values on our behalf. He has failed here unfortunately.

Maybe I am. I don’t know.

You bought her into it....telling us how good she is at this Coronavirus thing.
She let that f**king ship full of infected pricks leave NZ for here.
Pfft

Kiwis don’t rate her much anymore.
In fact if you speak to kiwis they’ll tell you she made a lot of promises then broke em all.

At least scomo holds up a piece of coal and f**king means it when he says he is gonna keep mining the shit.

I did bring her into it.

So is your response to my suggestion that the NZ government have communicated better through this than our governments that:

1) You don't get the adoration for Adern
2) She wasn't a genius for banning guns when it should have been done a long time ago
3) NZ have a bad economy (which they didn't until coronavirus)
4) NZ have bad crime (which is not true)
5) Obama was loved too
6) She let a ship go (cause our governments have been great with the ships...)
7) She whinged about criminal Kiwi's getting sent home
8) Kiwis don't rate her much
9) She broke a lot of promises
10) ScoMO means it when he says he'll keep coal mining working

Can you see why I am struggling to find how you have in any way addressed the point I made?

Sure, if you want to debate that Adern is generally a poor leader for various reasons, go right ahead. I wouldn't know too much about NZ politics anyway. I'm not sure how it is relevant, even if I did "bring her into it".

Did he call it Christianity when he made this rule? To bring in an irrelevant religious argument for a policy decision sounds like a bigot to me.

Why did you bring her into it then?

That isn’t bigoted. I think forgiveness is an admirable Christian quality. But I think he’s being insincere calling himself a Christian when he clearly does not hold a lot of the core philosophies. I didn’t know you could just turn off a deeply held belief. Are we really going that post modern?

Why did you bring her into it then?

Comparing NZ communication about coronavirus compared to ours, as I said.

Why did you follow up with a whole heap of points about things she does that you don't like?

Not that I don't mind the chat, I'm learning more about her and NZ than I ever thought I would today.

So they do things differently
Does that mean they are doing a better job?
No
You don’t know ... you make out as though because are more transparent then they must doing more than us.
Pfft what shit.

I made a general statement about how she gets adored .. but for what?
Being a nice person.
Cuddling people who are grieving.
Not for anything she has done for NZ.
Oh
Gun control... bit late.
Imagine if that had been Scomo changing guns laws after a slaughter of the same magnitude.
He’d be crucified.

As for the deportations
NZ do it themselves.
FFS
Tongans , cook islanders.. Chinese , which there are a shitload now.
All get deported after finishing gaol sentences.

so basically you’re just envious that she strikes a chord with people while Shire Dad can’t.

That’s not her fault.

Sheesh.

Imagine if Howard changed gun laws after a Port Arthur style massacre. Everyone would crucify him for it, especially those loony lefties....Oh, wait...

I have no idea why it is relevant, and even less idea why you are attacking Adern for making sensible gun reform in her own (relatively crime free) country.

They are doing more than us, in communicating. That is what being more transparent means.

Are they doing more than us in other responses to the coronavirus? Is she really not adored? Does she secretly want to invade Australia and is trying to set up a network of non deported Kiwis to start the process? I don't know.

Apparently me raising the one issue you have now admitted to (they are more transparent) is pfft what shit, but the other dozen you raise that aren't relevant to anything I said, and some are just wrong (the NZ economy, crime rates), you won't back down on. I mean, you just made a general statement really...(then followed it up with a dozen others that make no sense in this context, and/or are wrong).

Just looking after his flock if it was religiously motivated and you could just as easily argue that way if you wanted. That book can be interpreted any way you like. At best a bit lazy to drag it up, bigoted at worst.

Yep - as a parent it breaks you.
You would happily take it and let them live a normal life.
My girl was born with cystic fibrosis.
I didnt even know what it was.
Dads little girl. So sick.

Constant coughing thru nites. You dont know how they sleep.
You certainly dont.
Changes you forever and l crashed and burnt but enough of that.....but l was a guy from a big family who planned on having a brood.
Just the one now. Couldn't do it again.

When she was 12 she got diabetes type 1. It's CF related so shes also insulin dependent. Went through high school as a young girl giving herself needles.
As if the cf wasnt enough.

But smart as a tack.
An A grade student and pushed herself to do amazing things.
Kids amaze you.
Im the proudest guy.
Shes 21 now and has been put on amazing new medication - which costs a fortune - on compassionate grounds because her lung function was so low.
Now shes the best shes been.
Hasnt coughed since shes been on it as it corrects the problem...not the symptoms.

Anyways..thats my lot.

Many of us in here suffer with our loved ones sicknesses.
Or even our own so enjoy the time we have.
These things give us perspective.
They change us.
It certaimly did me.
You see people fighting in the aisles for loo paper and you know its not important. You marvel at how stupid someone could be.
Maybe they havent had something happen yet which gives them that perspective on whats important and whats not.
But it will come.
We all get our turn.

great post.Lifes not fair. You and your daughter played the cards you were dealt the best way you could.Soundslike your daughter is testimony to great job you did and her great strength of character.Thats what the best people do .I salute you and sincerely wish you all the best in future..

Re: your John Howard analogy.

Put it around the other way.
NZ massacre happened 25 years ago.
For 25 years the kiwis were telling us to bring in gun control.
Then one day on scomo’s watch some nut kills 90 people with semi automatic weapons.

do you think people would be hugging him for changing the law after the massacre?

of course not
The bloke got the blame for climate change for f**k sake.
For a drought 80 years in the making
For a bushfire 20 - 30 years in the making.
People were telling him to f**k off to his face when he tried to shake their hand.

the mentality of some of the dopes in here is just that.
It happened on his watch
Therefore ...His fault.

you probably missed all that because you’ve just come in here waving your Kiwi flag around.

well I can guess he can try to explain that to God when it’s all said and done.

Don’t know how that’ll all go down.

Was she vigorously pro-gun beforehand?

did she take a gun into parliament and make fun of massacres?

Even you’re smarter than this.

Herd immunity and flattening the curve . are we just delaying the inevitable and making long term worse? I much prefer to hear some explanations about these things than the more distracting And emotive and devisive ,blaming BS of hoarding. I heard that TP not being hauled by truckiest cause it doesn't weigh enough for good pay
warehouses have it.
