Every year over excited kids like you flood the forums talking about how well they’re training, how big they look, how happy they are blah, blah, blah. The team go on a huge media campaign, promising the earth and then go out on the field and play like limp wristed buckets of pigshit.
By round 16 the same people who spend the whole off season sucking the players cocks disappear without a trace.
Truth is this side should make the 8 but I’m not predicting anything until they play a third of the season together.
This backline may well click. I hope they do but don’t be fooled, they are more than capable of being atrocious too.

Just bc I haven't had an account on here for as long as you , don't think I haven't experienced the highs and lows of being a WT supporter lol.

For a long time I found your posts annoyingly pessimistic, but upon reflection, I feel it is needed to make sure the optimists don't get too carried away. You're views on the current squad are definitely not unwarranted. There are huge questions marks all throughout the squad - we could easily end up getting the spoon in 2021 and only WT fans would be surprised.

I'm starting to think it will be more fun if I join in on your dark crusade....that way I'll either be right, or ecstatically proved wrong

The Stryker in me always thinks we could finally get the spoon, however we never do. Somehow we always find a way. Look at the Saints predicted team to make yourself feel better. Add Broncos, Sharks and Dogs to challenge too!

We are 3-5 yrs away from being a title contender.We are definitely on an upwards trajectory & should improve enough to b a realistic chance for the 8 this season.Undoubtedly the club has learnt from the endless toxic & irrational decision making we have been renowned for & we are finally making value for money acquisitions both on & off the field which are the foundation for med & long term success.

The wonderful thing about preseason is that we can always win the comp. The problems only start when the competition actually starts.

On the official forum I saw someone put a video from souths training last week and commented on how a lot of their players look to be carrying a bit of extra weight from the Christmas break still and then compared it to our guys when everyone is looking fit and ripped. Looking at Bj and Jet the difference is insane compared to 12 months ago

Now I realise they went deeper into the season then us and had a stack of guys playing rep so wouldn’t have come back to pre season until after Christmas, however I watched it and was quiet surprised at what I saw.

It has me wondering if clubs like Souths, Penrith, Storm, Easts etc might be disadvantaged in the early part of the season? From memory clubs that were largely represented in the 2017 RLWC started 2018 slowly. Hopefully we can use this to our advantage and get a jump start in 2021.
