agree, the selector don't care for technique in Australia

many of successful Australian batsmen have had terrible looking techniques, all that matter is that you get them, it doesn't matter what it looks like when you do it

I am not trying to take anything away from Crowe but technique and style means shit all. If looking weird and clunky is good enough for the Don its good enough for Smith. Crowes record is "ok" but its only 5000 runs at 45. Smith is already about 2800 runs and has batted 56 innings to Crowes 130

Obviously averages are a little inflated now days but Smith can only bat on the pitches he is given. Crowe wouldn't make an all time Australian side. He would struggle to get into the second 11.

Talking about Bradman its interesting how many batsman have terrible eyesight. Bradmans eyesight was awful by the end of his career. It shows that they aren't so much watching the ball like ordinary club cricketers try and do but they stay one step ahead of the ball and calculate where the ball will bounce and wait for the ball there.

A guy who hasn't even played a test in NZ before...

Sure the guy is in wonderful form... But that's the equivalent of saying Jesse Bromwich is better than every forward in Australian RL history.
