I really enjoyed last night it had everything. Mystery, revenge, a bit of arggie barggie and karma...almost like shake spears play.

Billy got what he deserved, shouldn't have played and got booed for it, and was sent out as a looser.

I did, your made up assertion that because A happened, then B would is weak.

Umm...it's actually called human nature. A happened and B did. Happens all over the earth. Can't remember the Cowboys being booed on GF day 2015, maybe that's by chance or maybe it's just because they're not a pack of grubby merkins.

It certainly wasn't audible at the ground. The majority of the crowd was cheering the victory.

The Melbourne crowd, honestly don't really know who Lewis is enough to boo him.

You have made a good point here. Melbourne fans are as bad as their team. Having to suffer them all week saying 'all the haterz want Billy banned because they're butthurt and aren't real league fans' (massive irony on the last part), it's now so sweet that the butthurt is now firmly purple-based. And when the Storm stink it up in the future, whenever it happens, they'll find a new sport to go to. The drop-off in support will be palpable.

Munster's act on Manu perfectly summed up who Melbourne are. Arrogant, grubby, unprofessional merkins who sook it up when they lose and perform dog acts like that.

Nothing wrong with booing the opposition and everyone was obviously in disagreement with the judiciary decision.

The end result was a win for the people. Billy did't get his undeserved fairytale finish and one of his final acts was to pathetically dive then whine.

Each to their own but I boo'ed Billy incessantly for 80 minutes then stopped at the final whistle. Hell, I even applauded the merkin when he got his mentions post game.

Aa much as being an issue of class, it was also a "Stahp! Stahp! He's already dead!" Simpsons moment; because we beat the shit out of both he and the Storm last night so I felt no need to kick a man while he's down (I'm not Cameron Munster).

Plus I was too eupohoric celebrating the Roosters win.

Billy was at times an on field grub. And a chronic diver, which the on field refs fell for to the end. But he was also perhaps the greatest highlight reel player the game has seen. A deadset genius. And he's never hurt anyone off field, so for those reasons I stopped booing and now wish him well in retirement.

You've tied yourself in knots trying to justify shitty behaviour.

I can't understand why fans concentrate on celebrating victory rather then be Bogans.

In 2015, Hodges retired and was pretty much my the most hated player in Rugby League, especially during his time at the Roosters when he was maximum douche.

Zero boos

This is class, fellow Roosters and salty Broncos fans take note

Just to close off, I'm not justifying. I'm explaining. I'm not justifying it because I don't condone it and I don't want it to happen. I'm just saying I can see why it does. I agree, I'd have no interest in anything else than winning.

In terms of Hodges, when he retired there wasn't a particular incident at the end like Slater's. Hodges wasn't the talking point of the 2015 GF. So he wasn't booed. Completely different scenario.

Meh

I can’t take any moral high ground.

I boo’ed him in 2015.

And tallis in 2004. The tallis one was pretty sweet though. Considering he even admits he was asked by news to come back home to NQ to try and help get us competitive when he signed with SL and he refused, but likes to carry on as if he’s the most loyal NQ bloke to ever walk a rugby league field, I say f**k the merkin. And for his last game to be a loss in NQ, it was beautiful to be there for.

Petro and Parker on the other hand, I applauded their last ever games, which were also in NQ.

How can a player/club be blamed for the actions of others(i.e judiciary), that's Bogan logic
