Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he get NYC player of the year?

I've got no idea how good he is as I dont watch NYC but someone must rate him.
Yeah Cardy....was selected in the NYC team of the year then was later named Dally M player of the competition. Had 31 try assists and 33 line-break assists to go with his 6 tries. Averaged 40 tackles a game and 2 missed tackles a game. Yes - while its only NYC impressive stats regardless. Don't worry about reef....still gutted that Gagan moved on the the Knights and Val got a gig for Australia!

regardless, hes not a scratch on Liddle or Smith. To think we should not sign Seggs, & not upset him, pleeeeassse

Not a big fan of Seggy especially the off-field stuff BUT if he is available, the club should go after him hard because we need an EXPERIENCED hooker going forward with our team.
If we don't get Seggy well we have 3 or 4 players that can fill the gap for the season until another experienced hooker becomes available.
Brailey not the answer right NOW especially if the club wants to push on with success but I do hope that Flanno gives him a game now and then for experience.

Also what I am saying about Brailey is that I don't think he would stick around if Seggy signs on long-term, that is just how it is these days with younger guys looking for an opportunity.

Flanno and Recruitment need to have big balls and make the big calls.

Flanno, could give some young guys a run, he basically uses 3 players on bench, the 4th there for injury, he could use the 4th in games against bottom teams to blood some of the up and coming guys

Segeyaro would be ideal but ya can't keep em all. Brailey looks the goods and would be good for when the rebuilding begins which wil be soon

I'm in favour of signing Seg, absolutely (providing the transfer fee shit can be sorted). He's by far our best option for replacing Ennis.

I was merely pointing out the Brailey is a special player in a lot of good judges eyes. Whether he can do that in first grade soon or ever remains to be seen.

It took Townsend about 6 years to go from a high quality NYC player to a high quality NRL player...it might take him that long....

Agree with the above.
Saggy is quality and is physically ready for the demands of nrl. Now

Brailey can work hard on the physical side for a year or two rather than be like lichaa who is a tackler and nothing more.

I think Chadley still has a lot to learn. But with his recent experiences and those currently around him he could develop even more.

Knowing what it takes to win a comp and at what level he needs to produce week in week out.

One must remember it wasn't that long back that Coach Phlannough hooked young Chadley from the paddock.

Now that was a lesson learnt then and there.

Remember this Maloney only became real half starter at 23, and they has paid dividends.

Everyone and sometimes me has wanted to rush young guys into FG, its a case on case basis, problem is the player and his management believe they should be in FG.

Addo Carr i think prime example if he had stayed with us last year, he wouldnt have made FG, we had too much depth, Gagan probably would have been called up before him, is he FG standard at Sharks no, but mid team Tigers he was.

We previously had fallen for this and signed players who couldnt get a run elsewhere the played FG with us, and were ok, but not anything special.

Brailey on accounts could be special but in 2017 it would be big ask playing hooker, the person who touches the ball the most, signing someone like Seggy would help Brailey, we still have Ennis around the club.

Brailey coming off bench some games best way to get him introduced to FG

I would agree if you have a look at CT's career

He comes into grade 2011, plays 11 FG, the spine is Gardner/W.Graham/Townsend/J.Morris, all but 1 game when I.Gordon there for Gardner, not greatest spine to come into
2012/13, he plays 8 games in FG
2014/15 he plays 41 FG, so finally he starts to get some experience under his belt.
2016 we know the story, but in real terms has played total 4 FG season 2011-13 as one season.

It takes players 80-100 games to be real First grade players he is at 87, so we should be now seeing the best of CT

Chad was arguably the better player for the first quarter of the season, it took Maloney a while to get comfortable. I remember Chad ripping some teams apart in the early days of the streak.

Chad deserved the City Origin 7 imho, his early season form was so good. Second half of the season I don't think he stood out as much because others were lighting up around him, but the quality is still there. Still young, I'd expect him to kick on this season with the additional confidence and experience that comes from winning.
