I've seen orders. About 10 bag's Of groceries
Delivered on the street
Infront of the house
On the grass nature strip
And front gate. And driveway. Fully opened
It makes you wonder what's going on
I've seen this a few times as well
All these bag's. Orders. Abandoned on the streets

Lol, we have a small unit block of 8, one day i was down stairs and a Woolworths driver was trying to get his truck into our driveway, i asked him what he was doing, he said i'm trying to deliver groceries and i said well, you park on the street and buzz the correct buzzer and then walk the groceries in and he said i want to take my truck in and i said no you dont as there is no where to turn your truck around at the back with out having to back out back wards back down the drive way, he said oh that is to hard and left, about 2 hours later i saw him parked on the street walking the two bags of groceries in which could have been done easily before.

So you can pay by card and get money out but can't pay by cash for groceries up front, or do you put your card in first and get the cash out to pay for the groceries ????
Return and Earn vouchers
The cash is paid out by the self check out
Wollie creek Woolworths has both card or cash self check out machine's
The change is paid out in cash as well
Cash and coins

Only been to Woolies Wolli Creek once and when i saw certain people running around the store smashing eggs all over the floor and fixtures i vowed never to go back. Always used Woolies at Marrickville Metro till the Coles opened there, now i find i'm using Coles 80 % of the time to Woolies 20 % as i get discount at Coles but i find overall the Coles is just easier to navigate,. The Woolies i seem to use most now is the smaller one at Fountain St Alexandria and usually to pick up a couple of things as the better half's doctors practise is across the road.

The funny thing is people bitch about self service checkouts, but in stores there’s still the option of a manned checkout -and the vast majority of people opt to go to the self service checkouts. People just want any excuse to complain

Went to the Woolworths Metro on Illawarra Rd Marrickville and noticed they had one of their self serve checkouts where you could use cash. Better half still wanted to go to the manned check out so we did.

I love self service checkouts, I wish all stores had them, I hate interacting with people when I just want to get in and out buying stuff.
Working in the centre i have got to know a lot of the Woolies check out women over the years so i like the interaction with them at the manned checkouts. As for the Coles in the centre i hardly know anyone there so i usually zip through the self serve registers but if i have more than six items i will go to the manned registers.

Woolworths Marrickville Metro have redesigned their front of store after Christmas so there is more space for their self serve checkouts and now have some where you can pay by cash, The amount of manned checkouts are the same though.

I've worked in retail for over 25 years. Stores with self checkouts ALWAYS have some where you can pay cash. If you think they don't, you just aren't looking closely enough. If I have learned anything over the years it is that when they enter a store, customers become completely oblivious to the world around them. I've seen customers trip over bright yellow warning signs. I've been asked hundreds of times where to find items that customers are standing right next to. The self-serve registers at my current store are clearly labelled as "Card Only" or "Card & Cash", but people still pay no attention. The card-only registers EACH have five signs- on the front, left-side, right-side, above the screen and on the light over the top of the register. Yet every day we will have multiple customers with cash get to the end of their scanning and realise that they have chosen the wrong register.

The ones at Woolworths Marrickville Metro until recently were only card only, i actually asked a couple of the staff members that i know well why was that, they said they didn't know and yes i did look properly first because i did not believe it myself and also i would frequent this store about 5 times a week whether it was shopping or just having a browse during my break and yes i know customers or as i call them sheep become oblivious to what around them once they enter the store because i worked in retail for 39 years.
