I missed the BR interview. What did he say? Is the footy show replay available on the net? I for one am guttered they got rid of Heighington and Ryan. They are not the worlds best players but anyone who knows about teams, knows it is about balance. Ask Parramatta. Going and buying imports won't win premierships. Anyway for me it was also about supporting players with heart like heighno. The issue has always been we need big front rowers who go forward, and four of them not two, and a controlling ball playing halfback. This has been the problem since Prince left.

Exactly.. If we look at what failed this year we would look at the BS positional changes from the coach first. And next if we looked at players Ryan,Humble and Heigno would be at the bottom of the list. Blair was shit so was Lote, Moltzen,Lawrence, Ayshford, Reddy and also Benji. Why attack the heart and soul players on f**k all dollars.

Sheens won't be going. The fact that they sacked Heighington and Ryan, probably Ashford, etc means the club is taking the coach's side. He'll stay on for next year. He's done a lot of good. He built the club up from a joke to a reputable club *on field. He also built a culture of integrity. We have one of the best players in the game and he and all the players have class. And getting rid of Gibbs was good thing. He wasn't performing and leaving the club was the best thing for him however, I know I'm stating the obvious but the players need a coach who will teach them toughness. This is one thing missing from the side. This begs the question why get rid of Heighington. ...

With a back row of Lewis, Heighington, Gallon, and Tupou they will be worth watching!!! Compared to our back row of Peddybourne, Fulton and Anasta...I'm pumped.. Lets see all the Fulton lovers on this forum next year when he's shown up without Heighington there to carry his load.

You have got to be kidding me.

Heighington is a bog average player who has been on the slide for years. He is a mediocre defender on our own line (cost us plenty of tries this year) and he lacks impact in attack. There is no other second rower in the game who is as easily dominated.

Gibbs was the best defender in our side and his performances in his last 2-3 years with us were consistently excellent.

If Heighington is the "glue" in this side then that might be one of the f**king reasons we just finished 10th.

Heighington was told he would not be offered a new deal past 2013, there is nothing wrong with that at all. This club has needed a shake up for years as it is full of too many average, under performers. Stop confusing effort with quality.
