many, many bad experience's
people, town and players included. I've seen it at its worst
much like many have been involved in canberra, but i am, as most, a product of my experinece. My experiences in newcastle are not good.
Showstopper is a knob end, of that im sure

Haha how is that objective?Wollongong and Newcastle are both ordinary ex-industrial centres searching for new identities.
Im Wollongong born n bred but have lived in Newcastle too and see plenty of potential in both. Objectivley, Wollongong is prettier, has better beaches, has a better uni, has a better student culture (kinda the same thing) and is more multicultural (which to me basically means food culture...mmm food)
Newcastle's city centre is vacant and dilapatated but has beautiful older and more grandiose architecture, its arts and culture scene is also significantly more advanced, it doesnt face some of the obvious geographic problems that wollongong does and due to this future planning is easier.
Newcastle Uni needs to move to the city centre asap n newcastle immediatley for the town to fulfil its potential
This is just a move to force the debt to be paid. Which it will be. HSG are playing dumb but im sure they've been notified of the debt atleast a few times. Doesnt take a f**ken genius to work that out.
Wollongong is simply Newcastle minus 15 years. I went there for the first (and only) time early this year and it was like stepping back in time. In 24 hours I saw numerous poodle perms, hypercolour t-shirts and kuta lines jumpers. Everyone drives VP Commodores and they even have old woolies signs still up. Mind was blown.
