Fox reporting Tyson intends to extend!

TYSON FRIZELL

After locking in Zac Lomax on a monster five-year deal, with an option for a sixth, St George Illawarra are expected to turn their attention to Frizell.

Earlier this season, Frizell was rumoured to be eyeing an early exit from the club, which was denied by the player himself.

Reports have since surfaced linking the NSW Origin forward to the likes of the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney, but he recently declared his intention to extend his stay at the Dragons.

It would be really great if Frizell extends. Despite the loss of Leilua, our pack would still look good if Frizell is retained:

Vaughan
McInnes
Merrin
T Sims
Frizell
De Belin

K Sims
Kerr
Lawrie
Luke

Graham
Ford

I wonder if letting Leilua and the rumoured Pearson, has created enough $$ to entice Friz into (possibly) re-signing.
Millward did state that letting Leilua go created a opportunity to do more within the retention and signings framework.
For 2021..it will be more than Frizzell they are clearing the decks for.
There will be a "Host" of others that wont be here after 2020..and hopefully some good ones.

Frizell is under contract for 2020 so extension discussions are all about 2021 and beyond.

Millward, McGregor, Host, Luke, Aitken, Lafai, Flanagan, Graham, Rav and anyone else you wish for
As you are no doubt aware, Millward, Mary and Flanagan do not come under the salary cap; or are you?

There is a rumour doing the rounds amongst some club members that if JBD returns Frizz will go. Frizz, supposedly, has been opposed to De Belin's involvement at training and is, allegedly, angry at Jack's behaviour, even if he is found not guilty of the serious charges. Frizz is a good family man and is very disappointed in a player's behaviour who was part of the Club's leadership group. If true money may not be the only carrot that needs to be dangled to obtain Frizz's long term signature.

Absolutely it upset him and his wife as far as I know, but Frizz is not going anywhere

I call fake and old news. People say they know the perceived Frizz's eelings about JDB and that he will go based on JDB playing or not... heard different and say no more.
Rumours aye!...one of us is right
And being disappointed with what he did....who isn't or wouldnt be

Wasted millions and free agent heroes: Your NRL club’s biggest contract dilemma

ST. GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS

Tyson Frizell

The rumours didn’t go away that Frizell wanted out of the Dragons following one of their worst seasons in recent times.

They clearly touched a nerve, with the second-rower releasing a video saying he wasn’t going anywhere following another dispiriting loss.

But of more concern for the Red V is that Frizell can walk away with no questions asked when his new deal runs out in November.

With Jack de Belin’s future uncertain and James Graham coming off contract, there could be some seriously high calibre forwards leaving next season.

Securing Frizell’s long-term signature should be a priority.

I have heard the total opposite, Frizells missus is mates with JDB's missus and they are still together for a start. McInnes has publicly come out and said if he is captain he will support JDB and he wants the new CEO to do the same. Friz is mates with Jack and that is a rubbish rumour started by "journalists" to push an agenda which is sell papers. Frizell is pissed off they have not offered him a longer term deal that's where it ends. With Graham leaving that coin will swing straight his way if they have any brains.
