I heard the same matey, but I feel the reports were more along the lines of "Saints were hoping to re-sign Friz".
As others have said, if we had done so, would be all over the media.

Yep sounded very uncomfortable answering questions, I was particularly concerned when he said you can’t always stay with the club you want to stay with. Not looking good at all.
