"Couldn't orchestrate a deal in time.."

Genuine question, didn't a similar thing happen with Brett Morris?
Wait till @possm sees this. He will let rip.
We could not get the deal done in time...Typical Dragons way of handling things.
Mary was uncontactable on his piss up tour of the states....
they only wanted a Yes or No text but Mary could not manage that.
He wanted to come home 1st and interview him and ensure he understood Dragons Footy.
Too late..Mary.....I know... he wanted to get Loz's interview done 1st as that was more important to get the message out there...or.it was JDB's fault.

I am OK with merrin as long as
1. He is not on any money near like what he was at Penrith (700-750K)
2. He has realised he is not Artie Beetson and has stopped prancing and stepping when coming to the line and trying stupid offloads in traffic
3. Waits till he gets through the line if he can then offloads
4. Sally F is Ok with the move back home.
Is Sally part of the deal still thought she went surfing.
Hell Meetings past it why do we have to lose Lucky is it the bucks. No don't tell me it's the coach. Oh ok he is a lazy shit we don't want him all agree.

We still have Lucky Leilua so why cry about Capewell
I actually do think Leilua is a better investment than Capewell but it seems that we will be without both next year, Capewell is now a Panther and Luc almost certainly will be a Tiger for three years. Leilua will go if he can, and not just because of the money offered by the Tigers. Let’s face it, Saints were prepared to trade him for Matterson which should show any player where they sit with their club. If the last few games this season didn’t show Mary & Co what Leilua could do, nothing would. Yep he can be lazy but the Tigers see something we don’t and are prepared to throw money and time at him. Oh well maybe the deal will fall through, but I doubt if Luc will have his heart fully behind a club that was prepared to show him the door. In fairness there could be genuine and well thought out reasons behind the decision to offer him to other clubs. The trouble is I have long ago lost faith in the current coach or recruitment staff doing anything “ well thought out”.

Probably a dozen reasons for Capewell's decision but you'd have to think that, at his age, money played an important role. If so, there's further evidence that SGI have bungled their cap spending by paying overs for overrated players ( Norman, Hunt, Graham, Lafai and Aitken are five that come to mind).

Tigers not interested in Latrell Mitchell, he has less and less choices, I’d take him in a heartbeat. Thoughts?

He wants to go to the Cowboys and whilst it would be a good signing for us we have a couple of really good youngsters that Mitchell would create a roadblock to. Add to that the $$$ he is commanding, and its a difficult no to him signing with us.
