Ref blows time off, he calls Mango and JT over and you can hear Thurston as he points to Bowen "He never says anything!!!!!!!", hehehehehe.

I like watching him play, and hadn't really had a problem with him at all, but i lost a lot of respect for him in the week leading up to the GF qualifier this season (may have been partly clubs fault too) and then during the game itself.

Was just a lot of whinging around the whole thing, and then to see the Cowboys complaining about the ex Manly players on the judiciary, while at the same time using a Manly board member to defend their man, pissed me off.

And from what i remember of the game being there, Thurston was throwing the toys out of his cot all game long

Doesn't seem much about Bowen in that lot. I'm not bagging you, I'm not sure what Bowen said in that time.

By all means, bag the management or the press that talk him up or Thurston having a spit, but Matt Bowen rarely if ever gives cause for concern IMO.

*Edit* - I might add that I got a bit tired of the Thurston defence and all the BS that went with it. I get a bit tired of brilliant new excuses that get formulated every time a high profile player is in trouble, on or off the field.

I always thought Thurston was a better 5/8 than he was a halfback but it seems he has made that spot his own now and i cant see him going back. He was asked not too long ago reguarding Lockyers eventual retirement from rep footy whether or not he would prefer to stay at 7 for QLD/Aus or switch to 6 to make room for Cronk/Prince at 7, he said he would prefer to keep the 7 jersey.
