So will Gallop get this fixed before ANZAC day?

Some Wombat nuffie was on radio this afternoon saying tis not our fault that the seats broke, we jump up and down on them at the 80 minute mark every week.

He sounded like a deadest moron, an when asked why they did it, he said "that's what you do at soccer games

Was hilarious if it wasn't a tragic indictment of some of the Wombat fans

I think you'll find close to zero football fans on here that don't like Rugby League. Rugby and AFL trolls sure, but not football.

The A-League is played in Summer, the European leagues are on in the middle of the night. RL and football should be able to co-exist...no reason for either to feel threatened by the other.

This!!
First I would like to say that I'm a Dragons fanatic and an NRL supporter. I also follow the wanderers and watch the A league

I don't know why there is so much hate towards the A league and the wanderers. The damage that was done was MOSTLY unintentional, due to majority of the active support standing on their seats (a possibility of standing on the ground in future events to prevent seats being damaged). You would get the occasionally malicious damage, like other sporting events in australia.

Another point I would like to mention is people saying the atmosphere is better at league games, and they rather no atmosphere instead? A sense of jealously i feel by some people? 15 pages on a soccer team is enough to sense this. It is obvious that the wanderers have caught the eye of other codes, and there is no need to feel envious or jealous. This should instead, drive other codes to bring some vibe and atmosphere into there games. The loudest you would here from a league game at the moment is the moan from a forward pass. I was at the A league grand final and the atmosphere was unbelievable and engaging. I hope league one day will have more active support groups and pick something up from the a league, and vice versa.

As I've mentioned before, I am an NRL supporter ( Dragons member) , and I am not bagging the NRL, just would like our sporting codes to work in unison, and not drive to hate each other.

I think the biggest issue is the superior attitude that soccer fans go on with, 'world game", "we will take over', "you are all terrified of the round ball game".

I am old enough to have been an adult in 1972 when the Socceroos first made the World Cup Finals and it was announced that it would overtake all sport in Australia. I was playing soccer then and admired the sentiment.

It has gone on and on since them,at every World Cup and better performance or crowd, most of us genuinely like sport (excepy AFL and yawnion in my case), and happy to coexist but just don't want it forced on me by the superior twats that enjoy facing away from the game and jumping up and down for 10 minutes:crazy::crazy:

The external BS my sport is better than yours is no different to the internal my club is better than your club.

I started going to sky blues games to get back to supporting a local club and all that goes with attending sport at Moore Park (closeby, pubs, etc) after Souths left for that generic shithole at Olympic Park. I wasn't getting into the Swans or the Waratahs, and enjoyed a bit of sokka. I now attend just about every home game.

Just enjoy what you want to enjoy. Why you would want to waste energy on BS negativity is beyond me.

Fair enough

Double standqrd post.

First, looting and destruction is not "atmosphere". Yes, there was lots of noise - and I can understand that a particular European trait - similar to the singing in Pommy football - was present. For that Im happy for you.

But when you dense f*cksticks pass off destruction and anti social behaviour as atmosphere, and use it to claim some parameter that League doesnt measure up to, then you are nothing but a soccer blowhard trying to justify the existence of a code that gets its head noticed in the mainstream Australian sporting landscape for about 3 hours every year.

From what I saw, no one was interested in the soccer at all.

BTW here are a couple of examples of Rugby League atmosphere

WSW fans destroyed seats just as Nazis destroyed Jews. You said it's alright for WSW fans to destroy seats therefore you're a Nazi sympathiser.

You might have been able to draw a parallel if the SWS had tried to destroy every seat and the seats were proven to be an ethnic minority among seats. But the seats all appeared to be the same colour and cast from the same mold.

PS. I didn't say that destroying seats was ok either - I said I was pleased that some fat Westie's got some exercise. There's a difference. A tongue in cheek difference.

 Fire likes Aryan seats. Fire hates Jesse Owen seats.

Any chance they are your season ticket seats Lambretta?

nah but yeah but nah
I have GA season ticket and they were GA seats, but not ones I'd sit in

We generally sit Bay 31 on opposite side to tunnel by 10 yard line / try line, not behind the goals

However at the Dragons game on Thursday we will probably be on the ends and all the side bays are reserved. All GA seats are behind goals only or in corners.

Lol, how insecure some RL fans are. Previously soccer was an ally of RL in the battle against afl. Now they are having a bit of success and moved into western Sydney they are public enemy number one. Fickle mob you are!

1. This thread is aimed at Gallops incompetence.
2. The Wanderers fans are the ones being criticised.
3. People's opinions on soccer here haven't changed. They think it's boring. Wanderers success or not.

Nupty.

This painful jab-at-other-codes is... well, painful.

People are going to enjoy multiple codes. I'm not impressed with the WSW fans for a number of reasons but it's clear to me the seats collapsed under the heaving weight of big groups of people, not for sheer vandalism. One little keyboard hero on Instagram suggesting it was deliberate does not a story make.

I have a far greater problem with them being ignorant enough to chant through the national anthem and turning their back (sorry, "Poznan") during the Mariners presentation.

Rugby League and Soccer are allies in the battle to destroy vFL in western Sydney which they are doing. The thing that annoys most people about the WSW is the fact that Julia's goverment gave them millions in start up fee's and running costs.
Will Julia's goverment give millions to start up a NRL club in Perth?

Nope. No money went to WSW. Money went to football development, but nothing was given directly from the Government to any A-League club.

4000 people at Coffs Harbour yesterday utterly owned the atmosphere generated per head at any Soccer crowd ever assembled in Australia ever.

No chance and by that i mean not even close. And for you to actually write that shows youre hurt.

I love league but there is no way the wanderers support hasnt been amazing. On a Tuesday at lunch time they blocked off the town centre after they lost. To me thats fantastic. I would love to see that happen in league.
