Some real honesty

It’s not that at all. It’s more pure disinterest - “I’m not getting the ball, why would I look like I am?”. They’re literally walking in a bunched group - they’re not waiting for the next play.

I’ve never seen a playing group look so disinterested when they have the ball.
Because most of them are pure shit

This is my truth I have falling out of favour with the game, I don’t love it anymore as I used to, players penalised for slaps, Trindall‘s so called late tackle was a joke, the six agains are ruining the game causing more injuries, the game is so contrived and it favours the strong clubs, penalties that are given in one game ain’t given in an other for doing the same thing . The game is a joke.

I hate this line of thinking. It’s an easy way out and that the proof the refereeing doesn’t matter is every year the best team wins the comp, the two best teams are in the grand final and the worst teams come last and second last. You rise above it if you want it bad enough.

It is just amplified now they’ve gone from being a decent side to a mediocre one.

Ashley Klein is however a very poor referee and the call on Trindall for kick contact was a terrible one that broke their resolve when they were *just* hanging on.

Both these things can be true.

The club is farked now. I hate blaming one bloke but the decision to throw so many eggs into the Hynes basket, when it is clear he is a mid tier player, has totally screwed the balance of the side.

Fitzy is in a real pickle. There just isn’t the depth to go swinging the axe. Dropping Kennedy for Hynes gives no guarantee he will excel there and Akko is a question mark at best. Giving Talakai more minutes at Cams expense goes nowhere to fixing the overall issue.

Fitz would have had a very sleepless night last night because without wholesale roster change there is no way out of this quagmire.

I can’t recall an era for the Sharks where we were blessed with such a talented squad who under delivered so badly.

"I hate blaming one bloke, but I'm going to blame one bloke"

It's not Hynes fault that club decided to extend Kaufusi after one average-at-best season. It's not Hynes fault that Fitzgibbon has zero interest in blooding a young player unless absolute last resort. It's not Hynes fault that Trindall is an absolute liability in defence. It's not Hynes fault that Ramien can't breaking a tackle let alone a line. It's not Hynes fault Ronnie seems more focused on being a pest rather than being a scary winger to come up against.

Fitz should be having nightmares because he has made this an entitled playing group that is never held accountable. Sure, he can stress the importance of movement off the ball and to be genuine options, but unless he follows through with hooking players not contributing to it they won't change.

There needs to be a big culture change in the team, and I don't think Fitz is able to be the one to drive it.

Well if he can't he should fall on his sword and f**k off, go back to the Roosters. Yestarday game was just another nail in the coffin, after the match he was just sitting in his chair just staring at the abyss, If the Storm performed the way we did how would you think Bellamy would react??, Just ask the Storm players about Bellamy's outburst.

nah, it’s all Hynes fault.

Never seen so many people turn on one player so quickly. Yeah, a lot of it is justified as his form hasn’t been upto scratch, but I think some people forget there’s 16 others out there, as well as some pretty sub-par coaching from the outside looking in.

Thats fair but it is the lot of the marquee player. Bouquets when the team is winning. Abuse when they are losing.

I honestly don’t think it would matter who our halfback was at the moment the way the majority of the rest of the team has been plodding along.
See i take the opposite view.
I see a side that is top 4 and proven in this comp who's compass is totally scrambled and cannot get it back.

I link it all to the point last year where the 7 tried and failed at SOO level and refused to move on.
We were flying in the leadup to game 1.
From that point we have nose-dived to the point where we are now probably going to miss the finals.

And rather than Fitz saying to the bloke - 12 months ago - go away and get your head together the whole joint has walked on eggshells because of who he is and bent over backwards to accommodate him.

The fact the main man is so far out of form has quickly filtered through to every aspect of the side.

Hynes is done.
