LOL @ suggestions Luke is the second best hooker in the game. He's a strong runner of the ball from dummy half but that's about it. His distribution is only average for an NRL hooker and his defence is generally mediocre and borderline woeful at times.

.....yeh but his cannonball tackle is the best in the game.

Seriously, he goes alright & so do Souths.

I'd say only Melbourne & Brisbane are guaranteed a premiership in the next 5 years (sadly) but Souths will give it a shake over the next couple of years.

Luke is a country mile in front of Ennis although Ennis did have a couple of nice line break assists on the weekend.

LOLs all around there.

Barba horribly inconsistent? You've just proven you haven't watched a single game all 2012 involving Canterbury. If you have, you're full of shit.

Reynolds yup. Hodkinson shithouse? I'd agree Keating (a bit like Roberts hes only good for one top game every few weeks)... but Hodkinson is a very good player with a heap of potential who hasn't had the chance to control a side since he left Manly, chiefly through injury.

Luke a class above Ennis? Now you're just having a laugh. Luke couldn't even grab the #9 jersey to start the season FFS.

But of course, we won't win a premiership in the next few years.

How about the Raiders?
Inglis>Barba
Sutton=Reynolds
Reynolds kicking game certainly shits all over Hodgkinsons, neither has much to judge re running game.

Luke is far better than Ennis.

Actually Issac Lukes revival, after a rubbish year last season, has had almost as great an impact as Inglis's move to fullback IMO, with those two firing they are much more dangerous up the middle of the park.

I think Sutton has been better with Inglis at fullback also. Was only a couple of years ago he was playing very good football, he was woeful last year but he has been improved this season.

Idiot

Luke my have some deficiencies in his game but those pale in comparison to Ennis' abilities, or lack thereof. Your bloke is just a very average footballer.

Keep in mind he gets long service discount as this is his 9th year with the club.

One more thing in regards to Issac - in the 112 games he has appeared in, we have won 55, lost 56, drawn 1. In games he has missed since he made his debut in 2007, we have won 5, lost 14. That's a 49.45 winning percentage with Issac - 26.31% without him.

All you proved there is that according to the stats, with or without Issac Luke, Souths will lose half the games they play.

Michael Ennis is the most overrated player in the game. He offers nothing

Nothing is the perfect word here. Every time the Blues would pick him I'd try & think of a legitimate reason.. but there's never was one. Just a dirty little grub with no creativity, no speed, no kicking game.

Putting aside any loyalties or rivalries, it's always good for the game when a team that hasn't tasted success for a while makes it to the grand final.

It shows all teams and all supporters that anything is possible.

I'd take Luke over ennis and josh Reynolds over sutton

Inglis is obviously one of the top players in the world but barba is a brilliant fuback too

In saying this I don't know how the dogs comparisons came into this thread...

Because thinking about 5 years is too hard for most people on here. Thinking all the way to Saturday is easier.

So is thinking about now easier than thinking back some 40 years when your ancestors last tasted glory?
