You may be bagging out Piggins, but looking back, do you believe the Crowe/HaC era has been a resounding success or failure?
it's been an improvement. They've attracted good talent to the club, which is something the club failed to do in the decade prior to them buying in. They've overseen an upgrade of facilities at redfern oval and they've downsized the Leagues club to provid other revenue generating assets on the land.
I'm still against the club playing its home matches at Olympic Park instead of SFS from a venue stand point, but generating revenue from facility hire instead of incurring costs, that was a no-brainer decision financially. They wont get the same deal when the current one expires so perhaps they might get a deal closer to that of Politis and Sydney from the SCG trust and return to the SFS. I think the trust will always factor in a discount for the roosters due to their tenure and loyalty to the venue.
The results on the field have not come yet for South Sydney, and this is more a football dept issue than ownership (yes theyre it's related in the grand scheme), but no one can disagree that the club is in a much better position now than it was and couldve been before under Piggins. The club was stuck in the 60s and 70s under Piggins.
