I think their last GF win was also their last GF appearance, they really haven't had much to cheer for the last 40 years so full credit to those Souths fans who have hung tough but that's all the credit that I'll give them.

Super league dropped out western reds, gold coast chargers, adelaide rams and hunter mariners. Souths refused to merge with cronulla and were punted.

You missed the point genius. Which is that 50uffs haven't won all that many grand finals since grand finals became mandatory in 1954. In essence you've got a bunch of minor premierships. Which are still nice in a minor kind of way
