So...nice to see this was re-neged on tonight. I again was not allowed up the stairs to my seat without showing proof of being a loyal paying stadium person.

I saw people walking up, the staffer just wanted to see they had tickets, without actually checking them

ie, a bloke carrying beers kinda just nodded down to his hand where is tickets were it was let through

I made it up without being stopped. But the person on duty was looking closely at each person as they went up the stairs, like he wanted to stop them...

When will they just realise that if they put these people at the top of the stairs (like last year, and the many years before), then they will be as much of a deterrent and also there to sort out any seat disputes (if people have entered the stand and sat in other people's seats)?

I had to show the back of my ticket to the pimply faced little kid at the bottom of our stairs. I'm still left wondering why I pay such good money to be treated like this.

As well as waiting for another 10mins in line to get food. 10mins isn't long I hear you say... true.... but there were 2 people in front of me.

Do you think it is just the grandstands they are asking for tickets or elsewhere as well?

Just sharing a useful tactic with food that people might find helpful... when I arrive I walk through the bar and up the stairs at my end of the stand. Tonight this was just after 6:30pm.

While the queues at the food counters were massive and slow, there is hardly anyone in the bar then. And they sell Pies from the bar...

No good for vegetarians, but if people aren't fussy about what they eat and don't want to be stuck in the food queue :thumn.

I'd have no idea Fee, I sit in the grandstand so I don't go to any other stairs but the ones I have used for at least the last 12 years..

I have gone round the other side a few times Bart, the Nachos side as I call it, but when I approached the queue with 2 in front I thought I'd be in and out... instead they were aparently still peeling the potatoes and killing the cows

Is the grandstand is still accessible from the terrace ?

I saw a sign from the grandstand pointing to the terrace, directing Stand patrons to the bar.

No-one was stationed at that gate to check tickets or prevent people from the terrace using the Stand facilities - that would make more sense than being on the stairs where Hellsy was stopped.
