Yeh he's not very bright lol. He said Ch9 have no interest in showing non Sydney clubs. When evidenced how wrong he was he then said it was all about how many people watch the NRL on tv in Melbourne lol. He changes lanes more than a tut-tut in Delhi! He is suggesting that you grow the game by putting in teams from the CC and Ipswich. I’ll leave that there
345,000 left their tv's on after the dragons/roosters game but weren't watching according to the data i received577, 000 tuned into their game last night. So it’s within the range
So how many of the 577k who watched last nights game on Fox and Kayo where Storm and Warriors fans? Come on Einstein tell us lol Either Warriors and Storm have massive fanbases in Australia or I'm right!Stop plucking made up numbers out of your arse m8
43 storm fans, 576,956 warriors fans and 1 poor sod from perth with no club to follow. So how many of the 577k who watched last nights game on Fox and Kayo where Storm and Warriors fans? Come on Einstein tell us lol Either Warriors and Storm have massive fanbases in Australia or I'm right!
Got nothing as I suspected, another blow in soon to be gone.43 storm fans, 576,956 warriors fans and 1 poor sod from perth with no club to follow.
Yes we’ve reached a new low here.Got nothing as I suspected, another blow in soon to be gone.
First of all are you referring to individual clubs or are you referring to the competitions at large? Either way, you’re wrong but I want to know what you wrong in regards to.
You could have fooled
That’s not growth. That’s appealing to the existing marketyou really dont get it do you? lol.
Like Storm its not about adding 50k new viewers its about being appealing to the 500k-1million NRL viewers who tune in to games and attracting a larger number of them than might be attracted to a game featuring a different club. Storm are one of the most valuable clubs to the NRL because they are so valuable to the TV companies. And that's not because they get 50k tuning in from Melbourne, its because they attract the biggest national audiences, more than nearly every club. 80% ish of viewers who tune in to an NRL game are neutrals, not fans of the two clubs taking part. If you can attract 80% of neutrals instead of 60% of neutrals then Tv loves you. Understand now?
Or someone that gives you the responses you deserve?Got nothing as I suspected, another blow in soon to be gone.
Another thing if we are talking about growing the existing tv audience in nsw then surely central coast bears is the way to go then ?you really dont get it do you? lol.

Not sure you can bank on nz2 just yet. That’s not growth. That’s appealing to the existing market
the idea of new teams is to add in their own area
the dolphins will add to tv viewers so will nz2. That’s why they are getting in
Trust me we've seen lower over the last 15 years on here lolYes we’ve reached a new low here.
It would be good if Roosters and Sea Eagles went to the ARLC with a plan to divide the North Sydney District in half, with the northern half going to Manly and the southern half going to Sydney, on exchange for both clubs agreeing to fund junior development in the region. If PVL got that done then it will be a huge step in the right direction and allow Manly and Sydney to develop a strategy to counter soccer, onionball and fumbleball.Investment on the North Shore being held back has little to do with us. All sides are held back from doing anything official with the North Shore and bringing it under their banner as long as this still exists- https://www.northsydneyjuniorleague.com/
Until it’s killed off and the area redistributed to other clubs, like what happened with Newtown, or the NRL/NSWRL moves away from the district model, there’s nothing stopping Vlandys announcing the Bears as the 18th team, rendering any money spent there by Manly or the Roosters wasted and redundant. That’s highly unlikely, but the North Sydney district needs to be abolished to encourage investment by existing NRL teams, otherwise it remains a possibility.

It doesn't matter to TV! They want more viewers per game, and the easier they get them the better. They dont care if its new or existing. If they did then Ch9 wouldn't have buried NRL on FTA in Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide over the last 20 years! They'd be working to build new markets. Instead they chose to show the clubs that draw the most audience as much as possible. What the likes of Storm and hopefully Perth one day does do is gives you opportunity. Look at the GF ratings in Melbourne when Storm or playing or the SOO audiences. There's fans willing to tune in if they think its worth watching. Leaving popularity nationally aside for a moment even if introducing Perth takes FTA audiences from 10k to 50k a game that's an extra 120k a round or 3.1million extra metro viewers a season. That’s not growth. Its a pretty high bar set by the trolls before you lolGive me time
In the long term I would like to see the NRL promote itself more to south-east Asia. Hundreds of millions of people live in the region and it's in our time zone. If we can get SE Asians interested n the game then we could rake in good coin from broadcast deals and possibly promote NRL matches as tourist attractions. The storm and swans are very similar clubs. Great crowds and great membership. Yet when it comes to growing tv viewers in their home states are an absolute failure
for the growth of the game it’s about new clubs who can actually grow tv viewers eg dolphins, Ipswich, central coast and New Zealand
Of course they care. You can’t rely upon the games existing viewers to pay for a crap club in PerthIt doesn't matter to TV! They want more viewers per game, and the easier they get them the better.
